Starling Stanmore Bowen
Hi Tina, I was wondering where the picture of the grave marker for Memorial ID 33681815 Starling Stanmore Bowen was taken. He was my mom's great-grandfather.

I will be happy to remove my duplicate if you can confirm which cemetery Lerlie Carruth is in. The Barrow County Cemetery book listed her headstone in the New Pentecost United Methodist Church Cemetery. However, this listing was before her death as only the DOB is in the book. You have her in the Segars Cemetery.

Thank you, too, for finally helping us identify the children. My husband's grandmother said they were Stan's "grandchildren," but she thought they were children of J. S. S. "Jimmy" Bowen, but the ages just didn't work out.

It's a nice clear photo, obviously taken the same day as the one you have.

I have a copy of Stan's Civil War service record--did you know he spent almost three years in prison at Camp Chase in Illinois after his capture in Tennessee? I'll be happy to copy it for you.

Take care.

Starling and Frances Bowen
Hi, Tina,

My husband's ancestor was Starling Bowen (through his youngest son from his first marriage--James S. S. Bowen). We have a photo of Starling Bowen and a couple of his granddaughters taken (it seems) the same day the one you posted of Frances and Starling Bowen. Do you know when the photo was taken? We suspect c1911 or so. Will be happy to share.

Elias W. Knight Memorial
Hello Tina. I am researching my husband's line and ran across your memorial for Elias W. Knight #51259005. I see you've noted that his twin brother was Elijah W. Knight who I believe is the same Elijah that is my husband's 3rd great grandfather. I was wondering if you are also researching this family and if so, do you happen to know if this brother Elijah had a wife named Penina (or a variant of that spelling)? Thank you for your work on these family memorials and thank you for putting that note in his bio that made me look twice. Best wishes.
