RE: Marie MacFarlane
That would be great. Whatever is says under "disposition of remains" is what we'll go by. Most of the time they accurately give the name of the cemetery, but sometimes families change their minds. I had an aunt, my dad's half-sister, whom I ordered the death certificate to find out where she was. When it arrived, I got the name of the cemetery and called them to see if she was there and they said no. Her ex-husband was there, buried with his second wife, and not my aunt. Sometimes you just end up with a brick wall.

Good luck. Let me know what you find out.

PS - So I take it George is not buried with his wife?

Marie MacFarlane
Hello Shawn. I am not related to Marie, I inherited her from Chris Mills (see his profile for explanation). I will say, that with all due respect, I will quote from the FAQs:

"Burials where the interment is unknown may be added using the 'Other' burial option, then 'recent death, location of body unknown'. Location of body unknown must be used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition must be determined and updated within 30 days."

The primary purpose of this site is to provide the burial location of deceased persons, not to build a family tree or locate ancestors/relatives. That is a tertiary purpose, and although very helpful to people in doing family research, it is frustrating when you are looking for a burial location, only to discover that the memorial says "Burial Unknown". Creating memorials with "Burial Unknown", especially if there may be no possibility of ever updating the memorial, defeats the primary purpose of this site.

Also, when 'mowing the rows' in a cemetery, you are not required to do a site-wide search for an individual before entering a name. Because of this, I had a couple of instances where I entered a name and then months later, was asked to remove my "duplicate" because a memorial created YEARS earlier as "burial unknown" had been created and then when the one I created was noticed, I was asked to delete it. The admins of this site frown upon creating a memorial with the location unknown with the intention of leaving it that way, especially on very old burials. They have voiced their opinions on this subject many times in the "Discussion Forums", indicating that this site is not for building a family tree. Linking is just a plus, not a necessity.

Sorry for being so long-winded. You might notice that I am not the only one with a note on my profile that I don't link to unknown locations. There are many who do that, and since the site policies are in line with that way of thinking, I will continue on that course.

That being said, the names of Marie's parents are identified in the bio section.

Best regards,

It really does help thank you very much. Between incomplete records and names being used again and again not only by different generations but in sisters and brothers families it is challenging to say the least. All the best and thanks again.

I am unsure of her connection to West but if you look at #142454825 it looks like she remarried Samuel Myers and died January 11, 1857 age 39. Her father is I believe Edward Heath #141186075 of Deersville.

Nancy Burr
Mary Bell Green
You sent me an edit saying her parents were Allen and Nancy Green. Was her maiden and married name Green? I just wanted to make sure that was correct because I think her parents were Bells.

Malinda Wilson
I received your suggestion for Malinda Wilson's Memorial. I cannot add information unless it has been proven by a source. You said she possibly married a Mr. Rain. If this is not proven, it cannot be added. Sorry.

RE: Alice Mae
I did not create the memorial for Alice and cannot change it but i did see there was a request for a change that comes up towards the end of January. You might check it after that. Have a great day!
