RE: Messick grave stone.
You are most welcome!
I enjoy the work and feel it's important...especially when someone lets me know that what I did made a difference for them.

My GGG grandfather was William Morgan I will ask my aunt which is 90 about the Messicks. I do not know very much at all about the Morgans, have been trying for years to get the information. Elmer George Morgan was my grandfather. I will try and find out and get a hold of you later with the information

Messick Family Cemetery

I saw your detailed description of Mary Leona Messick on and was very interested in your post. You seemed to know a lot of personal details about this particular family? One of the occupants in the cemetery is Jewel "Joel" Messick. Are you familiar with him and his family at all? He was uncle to my ancestor, John H. Elliott. I know that John's mother was Joel's sister, but no idea who his father is. It really intrigued me that you mentioned information about the graves in the Messick family cemetery being moved to Bridgeville. Do you know what the new cemetery is? Are you familiar with how the Elliott's are related into the family? John H. Elliott's 2nd wife was also John Wesley Messick's widow (he's also buried in this plot, and son of Jewel).

Would love any information you may have.

Thank you!

PS--thank you for the description. I came upon this cemetery years ago with my mom while out sleuthing, and have always been curious if these Messicks were connected to my Messicks. Good to finally find out that they are :)
