~~Josh Groban~~

Our findagrave activity stemmed from my love of genealogy, photography and old gravestones, strengthened when we saw the damage one year of weather does to an older stone that cannot stand the test of time well. We believe everyone deserves to be remembered, beyond plain, cold statistics, and document as much as we are able, especially as we travel. This is a wondrous site where the upcoming generations can easily find their history and ancestors. Even after we are gone, our work will remain. Thank you, Findagrave.

We are all simply the guardians of those we have kindly added until their family comes along. I am eager to transfer anyone who is not family to family. Demands will be ignored, "please" is simply common courtesy. People with kind, sincere words make my day.

I take my heritage, 'graving' and documentation very seriously and most respectfully. Accuracy is of the most utmost importance to me, not who 'owns' a memorial. If I have made an error, please, please, let me know, politely. Cooperation is the entire point of this site. I now understand why people leave Findagrave. If you are rude, I will ignore you.

** I spend over half my time on Findagrave JUST sending edits to admin for duplicates, not documenting cemeteries any more. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE double check before you add a historical person from the 1600's or back. Nine times out of ten, they have already been added.

** PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the FAQ concerning BURIALS UNKNOWN. They are to be used for RECENT deaths only, not your 176th great grandfather whose burial is 'not located yet.' There is a rather large debate here about "unknown burials" and I respect this regulation which states that status is to be used for recent burials only. I have refrained from adding hundreds of my relatives whose burials remain unknown due to this policy, so when someone else adds them, and quite freely, either as a burial unknown or "body lost or destroyed" like so many others, I will not link to those memorials. Apologies.

**If you will not honor an update sent in by another volunteer, you are doing the memorial, AND the hard work of the volunteers a real injustice, not to mention the Findagrave admins who now have to do YOUR WORK. If you don't want to do updates, give your memorials to someone who will, PLEASE.

**Do not use my photos without permission, and ask BEFORE you use them. Simple, reasonable. If your pictures are crooked, of poor quality, out of focus, too dark to read, taken at night, shadowed, or the stone is covered in dirt or weeds, or your finger was in front of the lens, I will add my photo on the memorial. I am sorry, I do not intend to offend. It is not out of disrespect for the other photographer, it is out of respect for the deceased. Please have the gumption and consideration to post only decent, well thought out photos.

Regarding historical names such as de Percy, le Clear, the 'de' and 'le' (which literally means 'from' or 'of') are placed as middle names so the person appears correctly alphabetically under Percy and Clear and duplicates are not continually created. Edits requesting these to be changed will be declined.

**USE THE MEMORIAL EDIT/SUGGESTION OPTION ON THE MEMORIAL you want updated for updates requests, transfer requests, or general inquiries for ANY memorial. I will IGNORE AND DELETE suggestions, requests and updates and inquiries left HERE or in EMAIL, as they are REPEATEDLY, DESPITE THIS stupidly bold NOTICE.

Hi Anne-when you were kind enough to take the headstone photo, did you happen to see if she is buried with a husband or someone? We are trying to locate. Thanks again, Julie

Ballard Cemetery
Hi Anne,
I just realized that we have talked before! I live up in Soulsbyville. I think my neighbor, Scott, gave you my phone number when you were looking for the Soulsbyville cemetery.

I am surprised that you found the Ballard cemetery because we search for 2 hours yesterday. Hopefully you can help me out.

Hello Ann,

I am trying to locate the Ballard Cemetery off Old Don Pedro Road. I see that you took pictures of the headstones and wondered if you could help me out. Here are my questions that might help me find it.

Can you see the cemetery from the road? If not how did you find it?

When you turn onto Old Don Pedro road from J59 is the cemetery on the left or the right of the road?

According to the info on Find a Grave the cemetery is 1.8 miles from J59. We searched the area and found nothing. Do you no if that is accurate?

Thank you so much for your time!

Hi Anne. Sort of. She was my husband's Aunt. She was his mother's sister. Thanks for your help, Julie

Glad to help. Yes I am, I'm working on linking as many of the Claypoole line (from which I'm descended) together.

Anne I would love to add family pictures to Find-A-Grave. I just need to find the time. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures.
