Florence Jenkins
No it's right. Her name is Elizabeth Florence Jenkins. In the grave register they have her as Elizabeth F. Jenkins. The family might have called her Florence and not use Elizabeth on the stone or the organization new her as Florence and donated the stone. I didn't know somebody took a picture of her stone. I will fix it. Thank you.

I put on Patricia's stone per your request. I think her birth year should be 1949, not 1940, per her stone and age of death on obit. I added Amos & Cynthia Gamache because Amos' grave is next to hers and Cynthia's next to Amos. I could not find any other info on Cynthia. Let me know if you would like them transferred to you.

RE: Deborah Walkenhauer & Father
I think that you misunderstood me. Deborah's maiden name was Baumgartner not Baumgardner. Her father was Victor Baumgartner and her step-mother Joyce Kimmmel Baumgartner.

RE: Deborah Walkenhauer & Father
I have added Victor's stone & obit. I believe his last name should be spelled Baumgartner. I think the newspaper spelled it wrong on Deborah's obit. I got the obituaries from Yakima Valley Genealogical Soc. (509) 248-1328. I added Victor's 2nd wife Joyce as she is next to him. Would you like her transferred to you? Deborah is in a completely different area. And the answer to your last question is no, I have never been a teacher.

Rachel Holden Burgess

I've transferred this memorial to you. I am from the Burgess family as well, Ebenezer (Rachel's husband)'s brother is my 4-great grandfather. Enjoy your research!

No, I was honerably discharged in '83. I served with Kevin onboard DD-950 at Pearl Harbor. We were close friends. He was a good kid - very well liked. It's just a darn shame.

Blessings -

Mary Greeley photo request at Arlington National Cemetery
Dear “Sleuth,”

There’s an unusual situation involving Mary Greeley’s grave which leads me to suggest that, unless you have an immediate need for a photograph, you might want to withdraw your request for the time-being.

Arlington does a fantastic job of maintenance and landscaping, an element of which is turf renovation in rotating sections of the cemetery every fall. As it happens Section 4, where Mrs. Greeley, her husband, and their son are buried, was stripped to bare earth a few days ago. Not one blade of grass remains. The result is that the area surrounding their marker has become a surreal moonscape.

Can you wait until next spring for this photo? It’ll look a lot better if you can. Just let me know and I will either post the pictures I took today, or file a “problem report” which will cancel the request.

RE: William Floyd and Pearl Kirk
You are welcome! Happy to do it. You may want to cancel the request for William. I claimed Pearl, but someone else claimed William at the same time.
