This is a fun and interesting hobby for me, as well as a great way to perform a meaningful community service to others. Someday I hope to have more free time to devote to it. |
In fairness to those who may have closer ties to a memorial, please read the Transfer Guidelines prior to requesting a transfer. I will make exceptions if I am doing photo requests for you. You do not need to "manage" every memorial that is part of your family tree. Remember that this site is for locating burials, not building a tree. There are other websites that are more suitable for that purpose. I will be happy to make any links and corrections. PLEASE use the SAC feature ("Edit" tab). Please do not ask me to do links to any "Burial Unknown". Do your homework, first. FIND A GRAVE ADMINISTRATORS SUPPORT THIS POLICY. Please feel free to add photos where appropriate, as you do not need to manage the memorial to add photos.
I will no longer make Edits for people who do not have their messages enabled. Their insistence on having a one-way conversation does not work. It is too difficult to try to ask you questions regarding your Edits, if you refuse to receive messages.
Since March 2013 I have taken over management of memorials in Inglewood Park Cemetery from Chris Mills. Please continue to send suggestions for corrections using the "Edit" tab and I will get to them as soon as I can.

Adding a little blurb about these people, gives them "life"..they are more than a name and date.
Keep on trucking, girlfriend.....I love it...

I was just thinking about you and wondering how you were doing on your photos! I'm only about half done. Not a lot going on - just too hot! But it's cooled off a bit and I'm at the computer right now so I should be done this week. What's the temperature like up there now? Do I need to wait until October to come up?

Thank you so much for going out in this heat and searching for this grave. I cannot thank you enough for helping us out. I appreciate all your kindness.

No problem in doing the edits, glad that you are honoring our veterans by adding their tombstone pictures. Keep up the good job.

THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!
IF ALL we are interested in is those who have stones, we would be Billion Graves. This Site is so much better then that.
I do not want to ask for even More but if you Possibly have a burial location? Please.
I Should have thanked Jean for her time and energy, but at that moment I was bombed with untangling babies from marriages and Parenthood.
TWICE in as many days.
Alice is the sister of one of those babies who was married and had children tangles.
The cemetery I feel at home in, I gravitate to areas, full of names in the map and 10 stones in the field. I just did 548 mostly babies section. I probably created 525 of them and maybe 200 of little ones have stones.
Those babies tangled in Marriages and parenthood, or in an 2 back to back sections of I think 255ish names. When I started sorting this I THINK there are about 30 stones. I am hoping to get those photos by the end of this week. Labeled and posted with again labels by the end of this month.
THANK YOU SO MUCH

THANK YOU so much for finding and photographing my great great grandmother's grave. We had been searching for a long time and it made us so very happy when we got this news today.

OK, BJ, I've settled down...... You must realize how much trouble I went through in finding them, thus my frustration. I'm ever so happy to know at least both of them are buried in the same cemetery. They advised me to personally write a letter to the genealogy department at the cemetery to find out who the baby Comer is buried with Effie in 9-18-1952. No doubt this baby would be a cousin of mine, but I did lose a brother at birth born in April 1950, the year before I was born..which as 1951. My brother was named after his paternal grandfather, James Crawford Comer.
Thank you so much for your assistance.
You and the cemetery, which I called for information on my little brother, were superb! I told the assistant that she made my day in finding my grandfather, and this goes for you too!!!
