I started my family search in about 2003 and registered with Find A Grave in March 2006. I started with 45 names and now have 9320 in my Family Tree Maker file. I live in the West Central part of Texas and am retired. My ancestors are first found in the USA in North Carolina & Virginia in the 1700's and came from the British Isles. My Ferguson side moved from Jones Co., Mississippi to Hill Co., Texas in the 1870's and the Haynes' moved from Breckinridge Co., Kentucky to Williamson Co., Texas in 1885. I have traveled over West, Central & East Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Kentucky in search of graves & records. My lineage also includes the Land, Perrin, P'Pool and Outhouse clans. I enjoy the hunt and providing records and pictures to other researchers.|

It's been about 10 months since I've had access to computer, so this request is on 01/02/2017. The only information I have on my Greatgrandmother Rose Tippens (tippins) is that she was married to my greatgrandfather Florencio Rubio. As for Beatrice, i'm not certain that she was Rose's sister only that last name was Lopez and she was married to Juan Ybarra.
It is alleged that Rose may have been Cherokee. DNA test done on one of my Grandaunt's niece shows her as 8% black. In my search I did find her listed once as Mulatto.
I'm certain that Rachel Samantha Carroll Ferguson is not her mother. I am continuing search because i need for information previously posted on Family Tree for Rose Tippins to be corrected.
Any information you may be able to share will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi, I went to school with Myrtle's children. They lived across the street from us in a small town in New Mexico. I am in contact with one of her sons on Facebook. We have been slowly working on some ancestry information. He had previously told me that Mr. Brooks was in fact buried in the Potosi Cemetery. He said it was a mystery to the family why there would be two gravesites for him. That is about all the information I have for him. I would like to get Myrtle's gravestone photo. She is buried in the cemetery listed but the photographer could not find it so took a photo of "Potters Field" and added it. I am hoping to get that removed. Her son said her and one of her sisters are buried near each other.

Okay. Thanks and I have just said she was cremated and ashes given to family.
Very interesting. I called the funeral home and they looked it up and she wasn't buried at all but was cremated and her ashes given to the family. That would explain why she was not there in the cemetery with her husband
Thanks for the transfer. I walked the whole cemetery last year and phtotographed the visible stones. I will call the cemetery and see if they have a record of her and maybe she doesn't have a headstone. I will get back to you on this.
Thanks for your time and the information. Have a wonderful day.

We have a cemetery here that I have been working on for a long time. Old cemetery records only seemed to list family plots, but no names of who and which lot they are buried in. Some of it is mid to late 1800's. I have photographed most of the readable stones in the old part. But still have work to do.

The lady that put up the other memorial added a grave location... but unless the office can tell you where it is it might take a while..

Thanks for letting me know the grave is unmarked. My sister in law had been interested in visiting the cemetery..
