Findagrave has a wonderful feature that allows memorial holders to update many requests at a time, but only if done via the Edit tab --- so please try that before leaving information on the profile page! This feature is a true blessing.|
Thank you for visiting!
My mother, Mary Edith "Meg" Stevens and I, were/are long-time supporters of Findagrave -- a wonderful site to place memorials and do research. She sadly passed away in May of 2013, but her love of genealogy and helping others find their family, lives on.
One of my interest areas is the American Revolution. Please feel free to visit my page on Facebook and assist in the research. https://www.facebook.com/groups/RevWarRsch/.
I also welcome you to follow my weekly blog at GenealogyBank or to follow me on Twitter.
Thank you. I wish you success in your family research.
***** REQUESTS FOR CORRECTIONS *****
If you wish to download one of my tombstone pictures, you may do so for personal usage and should give proper credit.
Photographs of individuals require permission, and if lifted from here without appropriate permission or credit are subject to licensing fees.
REQUESTS TO ADD OBITUARIES:
Obits under copyright should be summarized, or cannot be posted (many less than 72 years, or longer if a newspaper renewed the copyright.)
REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS
Please follow Findagrave guidelines to be within a few generations and a direct descendant. For older ones, please communicate the reason.
As the number of memorials I manage increases, I sometimes elect to transfer without being asked. If you received a transfer and do not wish to manage it, please transfer back.

Are you related to Sarah Ann McClure Campbell?
I may or may not be, but if you are, I'd be interested in hearing what you know.
If you are not and know someone who is, please ask them if they'd be willing to discuss it with me. She MAY be a sibling of my 4th great grandfather, in which case she'd have helped me smash down a brick wall of many years standing.
If you are not related to them please do not transfer ownership of the memorial to me unless/until I can prove a relationship.
Thank you for listing the death certificates, too.

|Alaska Sandra||Jesse Foote Bible pages|
I would like to use the bible pages found on Jesse Finch Foote's find a grave.
At this juncture I am just beginning to trace the Connell side of my lines. I am a direct descendent of Nathaniel Foote

|Bonnie Sallada||Christiena Schneider Showers|
Christiena's memorial is #58764687. In her bio, you state, "Christina(Christiena) was married to Michael Showers (Schauer)." I am curious why you used both spellings in her bio since the photo of her tombstone shows the spelling of her name with an "e" in it. Thank you.
|sandra ||Gottfried Binder-West Laurel Hill|
The first photo of a grave stone by Autistic Wonderboy is incorrect for the Gottfried Binder who is born in 1851, dies in 1905 and appears on the 2nd and 3rd photos in Summit 161, not Alden.
I corrected the plot tonight.
I would like the first photo removed as it is not correct at all, but I don't know how to do this.
The bottom 2 photos are the same grave marker that I took recently on my visit to the WLH. They clearly indicate the names of this Binder family.

I also have a photo of an Annie Saeltzer's headstone. Would you like that her page when I enter it?

Hi, I photographed a tombstone of subject person. Would you like to maintain his page when I get him entered into the Find A Grave database?
Hi Mary, No, I don't have anyone particular in mind. I just saw the little note you made that as your memorials increase you may transfer without being asked, so I thought if you had any that need a new home, I'd be willing to take them. (I do the same thing with cats.) I have access to a lot of northern Shelby County obituaries so I thought if I could use it to lighten your load, I'd be willing to do that. It would probably involve adding more complete death and birth information or helping to link people to other members of their family. That sort of thing. Please don't think I'm implying that you didn't do a good job on your research. Anybody who looks at your memorials knows better than that. You do a beautiful job. Of course if I ever do run across an obituary that has information that you need (not likely), I'll forward it to you. So long story short, if you need to lighten your load, I'll be happy to help.
BTW: Love the hat!!
Mary, If you want to lighten your load and have any memorials from Shelby County that you would like to transfer to me, please feel free to do so. I'm pretty well done memorialzing my family and have time available to work on others. Brandywine, Hanover, Moral, Sugar Creek and Van Buren Townships are the ones I' most familiar with. Keep up all the good work. You do a beautiful job. Marlena
|Karen Hedrick||Edith Ruth Leeds|
Hi. I see you are maintaining a memorial for Edith Ruth Leeds in Fair Hill Burial Ground, Philadelphia. I believe she is buried in the Germantown Preparatory meeting of Friends Cemetery (also known as Germantown Friends Burying Ground) on Coulter St. in Philadelphia. This is where I believe her parents are buried. I created a memorial for Edith before stumbling across the one you created. She was born 2 Jul 1889, Philadelphia, PA. If you want to move yours to the other cemetery, I will delete mine, just let me know. Thank you.
