RE: Ezekiel Campbell
Thank you for your input and suggestions.
I'll continue my search. I truly feel that many things have been destroyed back in his time. 1760-1835.

Ezekiel Campbell
Yes, I use Ancestry and FamilySearch.org.
I've exhausted their sites for any further info. I've found more on Ezekiel Campbell on my own searching within actual books.

Col. David Campbell
I came across your info regarding said David Campbell. I was quite interested in the statement that 3 uncles raised David and brother William. I've been attempting to break a brick wall regarding an Ezekiel Campbell of Amherst Co. VA. He was born about 1760, married Jane Moran in 1791 and moved to TN right after his nuptials. They had several children, supposedly there in Cocke Co. TN in the early 1800. My gr gr grandmother Jane Lucas was the youngest of 10 children, born abt 1818 in Cocke Co.

I have found a bit of a paper trail regarding Ezekiel. He was an Baptist preacher in Big Pigeon, TN near French Broad.

He did serve in the War of 1818.

I realize many records have been lost or burned. I was wondering is you have an knowledge of Ezekiel Campbell. Given the notoriety of Alexander Campbell and his 'Campbellites'. I'm thinking that Ezekiel Campbell modified his own name to be set apart from the works of Alexander Campbell. Just a thought. Would enjoy hearing anything you have to offer.

I believe your political message on your bio might be in violation of Find A Grave guidelines. I am a Christian also, but I don't believe this venue is meant for political discussions.

I have removed my memorial. I'm sorry if you are upset. I do a search before I post a memorial. They don't always reveal one already posted for various reasons. As I have posted in my bio I remove duplicates upon request. Your message to remove the memorial was the first request that I received.

I did send a letter asking them to be merged, but If you delete yours, then I certainly will try to get the family linked.

I think we should get Findagrave to merge them for us. That way the links stay.

I will have to ask the person with that memorial to link them. There 2 memorials for John Abraham's wife too.
