Bio Photo "Show me [how you care for] your cemeteries and I will tell you what kind of people you have."
Benjamin Franklin

All of my ancestors for at least six generations are from Fentress county Tennessee. I have a great deal of interest in the history of that area.
I would love to have old family photos and would be glad to share mine!
I have found many cousins here on Find a Grave and would like to meet more.

"If I didn't have those people back there, I would never have had anything to write about. That's where I got all my stories from. My life is from them. I'm going to do everything to keep up for them, in memory. That is my duty from now until I die."
- Author Ernest J. Gaines explaining why he takes care of an old cemetery on the former plantation where five generations of his ancestors, going back to slavery, are buried.

Coffee and Everman cemeteries
You created a cemetery called the Coffee cemetery. And Traie Shelhart created the Everman cemetery, These appear to be the same. Between the two of you it looks like have decent photos of the broken headstones. Technically this is called the Everman/Coffee#2 cemetery. Can you find out about merging these two? I can help if you need any.

Nancy Coffey
Edward Dale Bennett
Just wanted to tell you Ed was my cousin. Our mothers were 1st cousins. I lived in CA at the time & no one told me Edward was killed in vietnam. I even went to the vietnam memorial in Washington DC & looked for other friends from Russell Co. I was shocked and saddened when I found his grave at Lucinda. When I learned about Find A Grave, I left virtual flowers, but today I couldn't find them. Then I realized yours was a duplicate, but that's OK, yours is such a beautiful tribute. Thank you, Nancy

Nels Burdall at Fox River
Hello Casey,

We are doing a read at Fox River in LaSalle County, Illinois. As were adding our photos to Find A Grave, we noticed that your memorial for Nels Burdall is a duplicate of one posted earlier. We uploaded a photo to that site. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

RE: Winningham-Hinds-Billings-Davis
So here is what I know.

George Sherman Hinds married Permelia Albatine Winningham. This is my grandma Dorothy Story Hinds-Billings parents.

I guess one of the best stories my mom use to tell me, was Permelia siblings names. Pernina Clementine, Perneces Emiline, Pernettie Angeline, Porter Valentine and Perline Calgeline.
Thank you for your fast response.

Not sure how to start this but here I go. I guess I just wanted to say hello and what you do with find a grave is wonderful.

My name is Crystal Davis-Martinez. I live in California. My mother's name was DorothyAnn Billings. Her mother was Dorothy Story Hinds, she married Delphus Porter Billings.

I remember my mother talking about the winningham name, family. I thought we might be related somehow along the line. Anywayway I guess thats all. If you any info, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Thank you,

memorial #57393598
Can you please help me with what cemetery my ancestor is buried in. The memorial number on find a grave is 57393598, Eli Mullinix 1776-1842.

I am also looking where his wife, Sarah Dykes, is buried. Her memorial is #57393618. I assume they would have been buried together.

I am also looking for Eli Mullinix dad, Richard Mullinix 1745-1820. He was married to Elizabeth Poynter.

Thank you very much!
