Find A Grave volunteers have worked hard on documenting families which in turn leaves a legacy for future generations. If one person reconnects with their family & learns of their ancestral heritage via data, headstone photos or links on the site, then it's all worth the time.
Thanks to the Find A Gravers that have transferred to my account! Especially the ones with the big numbers that feel that memorials belong in the hands of family.
Wishing all smooth sailing with discovering your ancestors with no brick walls in your path.
Peace to all that are here and beyond.
P.S. I post & care for mostly my direct ancestor lines but I do manage memorials in Mount Olivet Cemetery (Chester County, Pennsylvania), Rosemary Cemetery (Sarasota, Florida) & South Whitley Cemetery (South Whitley, Indiana). Please check the virtual cemeteries on my profile for your family, no matter the relation & ask for a transfer.

Sandra, I entered the data for St Catherines from a spread sheet shared with me by the Parish office. All of the photos were added later on. It was a massive undertaking so some errors were expected. I have repaired this one. Thanks for helping set the record straight!

The Courier & Press with that obituary is dated 1940.

Sandra - thank you for posting the memorial for Nancy Bartlett Wriston in Bartlett Cemetery in Edwardsvill, IL. Do you have any additional information on her death date of 9/25/1854? I am trying to verify the correct date of birth for her son Martin Luther Wriston (Find A Grave # 88975723). It is listed as 15 Sep 1855 in the Illinois Deaths and Stillbirths Index, 1916-1947 (he died in 1922). Did Nancy die 9/25/1855 instead of 1854, just 10 days after her son was born? Or was he born in 1854? Census records list other dates for him - 1852 and 1859. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much for the transfer.
|Deborah Sitar||Helen McGlone|
First thanks for all your hard work! Just thought you'd like to know your memorial for Helen McGlone in the Loper cemetery is a duplicate.
Thanks again...Deborah Sitar

Thank You very much for the transfer of my Great Great Grandfather.
God Bless You,
I'm back with another question. I'm really confused about Philip & Margaret. I found Philip in IL in 1880 census listed as divorced, and Margaret is in IN with the children, listed as married. Then I found a marriage record for Philip Gerichs to Margaret Gerichs in 1885, and one for Theodore Lottner to Margaret Gerichs in 1888.
Phillip is in the city directories for 1865, 1866, 1870, 1874, & 1875. He & Margaret are both listed in 1886 & 1887, but then in 1888 Margaret is listed as widow. In 1893 Margaret is listed as widow of Philip. In 1895, 1896, & 1899, Margaret is just listed alone.
So I guess I have three questions: 1) Did they divorce before 1880 and then remarry in 1885? 2) Did Philip die between 1887 & 1888, or did he really live until 1901 as his tombstone indicates? 3) Did Margaret really marry Theodore Lottner in 1888? And if so, then why is she not listed as Margaret Lottner?
Thanks for any clarification you can give me!
|Jeff Blakley||Gillham infants|
I'm researching the ancestors of William J. Krome in Florida and was looking at his mother's side of the family, the Gillhams. I see that you have three infant Gillham boys who appear to be the same individual. The memorial numbers are: 69431962, 69432520, and 69431755. Could you investigate this and delete the duplicate memorials, if any? Thank you!
