I am a professional photographer and genealogist (over 50 years), and long time historian of Coleman County, Texas (over 40 years). Over 20 years ago, I, along with my wife, Judia, and Vena Bob Gates, published all of the marked grave inscriptions in Coleman County, Texas in the 3 volume, "Coleman County Cemetery Inscriptions." I also have these records online at www.colemanhistory.com.|
Judia and I both continue to visit cemeteries, but I do all the computer work. Judia is an artist and does not relate to computers ... she is soooo lucky!
I have welcomed FindAGrave to help carry on what myself, my wife and others are doing to keep local history information available and not forgotten. I began in the middle of March 2011 adding burials that have not been added for Coleman County.
I look forward to hearing from anyone interested in the cemeteries and history of Coleman County. Ralph Terry, Coleman, Texas.

I saw the memorial that you made for William P. Hinds so you could connect him to his kids. He was married to Nancy C. Brooks. After William died, she remarried to Henry A. House, they are on the 1900 McCulloch Co., Tx. census. Nancy House was b. June 10, 1847 in Mississippi and d. May 10, 1933 in Floyd, Roosevelt Co., New Mexico, where she is buried. Arkansas County marriages indicate that Nancy C. Brooks married William P. Hinds Oct 19, 1895 in Sevier Co., Arkansas. I am not sure when/where Henry A. House died. I am researching the Brooks family, are you related? I have info to share. Thanks, you can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org

Hi Ralph! Thank you SO much for the pictures of the headstones of Mary & Pete Curry. Mary was my Daddy's (Ira Louis "Sweetie" Smith) sister.
Did you know my aunt & uncle, Ed & Lillian Hector, or my cousin, Nancy Hector, who lived in Coleman?
I emailed you a while back about my Daddy graduating from Coleman High School in 1932. I have his diploma. The alumni list for that year says "Louise" Smith - can you please correct that to say "Louis"? I would really appreciate it.
Thank you again. I really appreciate your efforts!

Thank you for the reply. Do you know if there is a copy of the newspaper dated around the time of Albina's death? Wayne
|Wayne Foster||Lednicky Children|
Thank you for posting newspaper article about children who drowned #109645505. If this was 1912, I am confused about their mother's death in 1911. Do you have any other information on this family? Thank you, Wayne Foster

Thank you so very much for the headstone pictures of Weldon Bolt & his wife Iva.
May I use them in my BOLT family tree.

On June 21, 2014 you uploaded a photo of Darren Edwards. This was on the days that F.A.G. was having a problem with photos not going to the proper memorials.
Your photo of Mr. Edwards showed up on my memorial for Fern J. Hall # 131343145.
Could you please remove it.
I uploaded 12 photos that day that got screwed up in the final destination,.

I thank you for the correction for this person. I have corrected the birth date but wanted to let you know I am declining the corrections since it would change the rest of the dates as unknown or at least I was concerned it might. I didn't want you to think I was totally ignoring it because I didn't
