Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy spending free time in cemeteries and doing genealogy. I also collect antique books and photographs of all varieties.

These are my main surnames of interest; please contact me to exchange info/photos: Mayville, Diebold, Star[c]k, Walsh, Hurst, Tice, Walter, Emmerich, Hess, Hagemann, Brandmueller, and Liebenow, among many others.

Check out my Brick Walls. Maybe you can help?

-Please credit me if using my photos elsewhere!! This includes Ancestry.com, your personal genealogy page, etc. I don't mind if you use my photos, just please cite your source!

-Please submit any additions, corrections or transfer requests via the "edit" tab on each individual memorial. I add memorials one at a time (not in mass uploads as some do) in an effort to increase accuracy, but no one is perfect.

-I have no problem transferring as long as they are not my family; however, I do not support "memorial collectors." The goal of F-A-G is not to "own" memorials for each member of your family, but to make sure each memorial is as accurate as possible.

My most meaningful work on Find-a-grave are the cemeteries I have fully photographed / transcribed. These cemeteries are special because (in most cases) I am related to many buried there:

-Lawrence/Cady Cemetery (Brown Co., WI 2006-07)
-Saint Louis Catholic Cemetery (Caledonia, WI 2009-10)
-Fairview Cemetery (Greenleaf, WI, 2010)
-St. James Catholic Cemetery (Oak Creek, WI 2010)
-Saint Mary of the Lake Catholic Cemetery (Westport, WI, 2012)

& the following portions of Resurrection Cemetery in Madison, WI:
Section 1, Blocks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 (2012-13)
Section 2, Blocks 5, 6, & 7 (2014)
Section 3, Blocks 11, 12, 13, 21, 22, 23, 31, 32, 33 & 42 (2013-14)
Section 4, Blocks 11, 12, 13, 21 & 22 (2014)
Section 5 (2014)

I have photographed the following but haven't uploaded yet:
Section 2, Blocks 1, 2, 3 & 4 (2015)
Section 6 (2014)
Section 8 (2014)

RE: Maria Schmieder
Yes. Her probate file is on ancestry and it's massive. Some of her nieces and nephews contested the will. The name Keller appears many many times in this document and I have located one brother's findagrave memorial and the stone says Keller. I will be compiling some bio info to add to her memorial as I wade through the file. She and Ferdinand had no children of their own and they were very generous with their siblings and their heirs in their wills.

RE: Maria Schmieder
I just found her will and it mentions her brothers and sisters. The brothers' names are spelled "Keller" not "Kellner." So I will do more research and if I find Keller is correct, I will put through another edit.

I'm glad you brought this to my attention. I haven't looked at Ferdinand and Maria in decades, before the internet.

RE: Mary Ann Bedwell
Hello! No worries :)

Up until 1905 she lived in Lawrence, Wisconsin (the post office was De Pere). In 1905 she and her husband, Thomas, are listed in the 1905 WI State Census as living in De Pere. In the 1910 US Census she is living in De Pere, Ward 3, with her daughter, Mary Ann (William) Crabb. Unfortunately I cannot seem to find her actual death record, but based on the fact that her last known residence is in De Pere, just 5 years prior to her death, it's pretty safe to assume that her location of death is in De Pere. I hope that helps. :)

Hi Jade. I only have one source for the middle name, her death record and it is spelled with a Z. I would attach it here for you to review, but it doesn't look like that is an option.

I wouldn't worry about the spelling. Why don't you transfer the memorial to me? She was the wife of my 2nd great-granduncle. Not a close relationship to be sure, but I'll take it if no one else wants it.

Jade,
Have you ever lost a file? Looking everywhere and will verify when I find it.
Thanks, glad to see that you are still interested in Find A Grave.
