The Key To Any Puzzle Is Laying Down The First Piece...... ~Lorie|
That is my philosophy when it comes to my FAG contributions.
In my travels, I have seen many different methods, processes and preferences among the FAG members and everyone is entitled to the way they do things - as long as it is historically sound. I am a 30 year data integrity nut and also a family history freak. Find a Grave is my NIRVANA!!!
Personally, I love data mining and enjoy scouring large (I mean LARGE) lists of cemetery & burial records, scouring and scrubbing, and then posting. I have a low tolerance for onesy-twosy memorial creations simply because there are so many of them out there and I ain't gettin' any younger.
Like so many other folks, I came to FAG looking for my family members and thanx to the generosity of others, I was able to locate alot of family. That is where my philosophy and my methods come from when I create memorials. If I can give someone at least a starting point on their family, then I have done good. To those folks who dig and dig to find every tidbit of information – I applaud you for it – that's just not my cup of tea.
So, remember, everyone has their own way of contributing to this great site and should never be made to feel inferior because they don't do it the same way you do. As long as it's right –
If you have a correction or find a duplicate, let me know(and please be patient for results).
If you want to "own" it, just ask (include all numbers)
And if you think that I haven't added enough information – byte me

|Terry Buttler||Transcription error; FAG #99373641 & 99373642|
There is a transcription error for both Memorial 99373641 - Paul Blair Skilliter and memorial 99373642 - Perry Blaine Skilliter. Both Paul and Perry are still alive (as of this date 18 Aug 2016). Paul and his twin brother Perry were born 26 Sep 1962. We believe his parents Gerald B Skilliter and Noreen Amilia Skittiter (nee Acton - b 1933 d 2014) pre-arranged for gravestones upon their birth. They are still living with their father, Gerald. I have submitted corrections to Ancestry.com; please take corrective actions on Find A Grave. Thank you. Terry

You have a link to her husband "Jessie H Brown" Find A Grave Memorial# 36586776. Jesse was my grandfather (my mother's father) and his first name is "Jesse" and is pronounced as "Jess." I have asked the owners of his entry to correct it to the actual spelling of his name. I tried to contact the owner of Mary Elizabeth Hope Brown's entry, but they have their messages turned off. Since you created the original, I am hoping that you can update the link once the spelling is corrected.
|Celia Taylor||Daniel Sullivan Family question|
I am hoping you may be able to help solve a mystery for me. My 2G Uncle, Wilson M. Eppley is the husband of Mary Mable Sullivan Eppley (1886-1957) who is the daughter of Daniel Sullivan #49404595 and Mary E. Sheperd Sullivan (buried in Congressional Cemetery, in Washington, DC). Mary Mable Sullivan and husband are buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Prince Georges Co., MD. Would you be able to contact me so I can pose my question to you, please?
|Janene Crawford||John Nelson|
I see the entry for John Nelson (dod 1866) posted for St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Beeton, Ontario, Canada. I have written to them and they say they have no record of a burial for him there.
The grounds keeper says that no stone exists with that name, nor is there an indication on the plot map of a burial for John Nelson.
Do you have notes indicating where this information came from or what led you to believe that this person is in that particular cemetery?
Thank you so much for your help.
|Rebecca Lew||John & Temperance Peters|
You made the original memorial for John Peters (Find A Grave # 96656324) and Temperance Peters (Find A Grave# 96656323), John's mother, in the Peters Cemetery, Lauderdale County, AL. However, John and Temperance are not buried in the Peters Cemetery. Instead, they are buried near the porch of the plantation home which no longer stands. So if someone tries to find their graves in the Peters Cemetery, they wll not find them. I would like for their findagrave memorials to be removed from the Peters Cemetery & a new burial site created. I e-mailed Sue Ing, to whom you transferred these memorials, and she cannot delete them as she did not create them.
Thank you Lori for the transfer of Burtal Allen. It is greatly appreciated.

You transferred this when I realized he wasn't a Zielinski, as per his death record, and wanted to find out who he was.
Thought you'd appreciate this...I found his photo and that's my grandfather sitting on his lap!
Family friend, yes, but no Zee. ha
Thanks again for the transfer, back when!
|Susan||Charles Monroe Williams @ Congressional Cemetery|
I was amazed to find an entry for my great uncle, who died at the age of 3 in Washington, DC. Can you share where you found this information? You gave cause of death, so I suspect there must be a death certificate that I've had no luck in finding. Charles died of meningitis within a year of my grandmother's birth and I have a picture of the two of them as baby/toddler together.

|Liz Gowanlock||Elizabeth Kearns|
I see you originally created the Find A Grave memorial for Elizabeth Kearns #97036777. I have a death record that states she was born Dec. 17, 1864, lived 63 years, 8 months & 9 days, died Aug. 26, 1928, and was buried in Beeton. I am interested in where you got the 1865 and 1923 from? Also, her husband, William Kearns, could be buried there. The only information I have on him is via others on ancestry.ca. According to them he was born in 1846, and died before 1901. You have a William Kearns #97036790 with an unknown birthdate who died in 1898. The Find A Grave memorial numbers are close together, and the dates fit. Are Elizabeth and William on the same headstone? I would appreciate any information you can give me. Thanks for all your efforts!
I saw you set up his memorial site.
