Bio and Links
Bio Photo 'Forestier' is my patronymic. Many of the memorials I have added are for family connected to me, some directly, and some who are otherwise related.
.
Other memorials are for pioneer citizens I come across who have not been previously honored.

Transfer of your relative would be my pleasure:
I will consider your request, but prefer you be a direct relative as stated in the rules.

My 25 Sponsored memorials are the exception.

Hello Forestier,

Could you please tell me the source of the information regarding her place of burial at Evergreen Cemetery? I've contacted this cemetery and they have no record for her burial nor her husband Robert or son Leslie.

Thank you,

Melinda

Hi, Mike,

I hope you also have a good holiday. With the weather we've been having, though, it seems as if the holiday should be at least the 4th of July rather than Memorial Day!

Love your cat! His expression reminds me very much of one of my cats.

Take care.

Thanks for the reply, Mike!

I can certainly appreciate your situation. If, by any chance, you're in contact with those other family members, please let them know I am willing to transfer the memorials. I firmly believe that folks should be with family, or at least someone who knows them, and not with a stranger. It's also my personal goal to die with no memorials other than those for close family members which will be passed on to someone else in the family.

Thanks, again, for your contributions to find-a-grave!

Take care.

Kathy

RE: Pierre Payet
Thank you so much Forestier for the information on the Payet family which is on my maternal grandmother's side. It is so much to take in but I shall look forward to reading all the details!
Since beginning my genealogy in earnest I have been amazed at all the amazing ancestors in on both sides of my family. I do wish they had had cameras back then I would have loved to see what they looked like! I visited the archives in LaSalle when I lived in Montreal and that is how I got started on family history. I still live close enough to visit but now so much is available online that makes long drives unnecessary.
Thank you so much for sharing your work on the Payet family with me, I so appreciate your kindness! Tina

Pierre Payet
Dear Forestier;
Mr. Payet is my 4th great grandfather and seeing all the notes you made of his life solved a few problems I was having with my genealogy on other sites! I was unaware that he had had 3 wives so thank you for that information. I wanted to ask you is there a marker on his grave so that if I am in the area in the future I can leave flowers? Or has time eroded the place where he was laid to rest? Again thank you again for leaving such wonderful data! Marguerite Smith-Hart

Thank you
Thank you for your kind note. I really miss my dad so much, especially on weekends when we used to call each other. I forgot to mention - Like the kitty, it's a cutie. We have three at our house. Take care and I hope you don't have any wildfire problems where you live. Portland has been smokey the past few days to the extent they've issued air quality alerts.
