Bio and Links
Bio Photo I used to live in Austin, Texas. I am trying to add my family members/ancestors as time allows. I also have an interest in historical trivia and in historical crime.

For now, I am traveling across the USA, searching for cemeteries with my ancestors. If I can get an internet connection near the cemeteries I visit, I will check Find-A-Grave for any photo requests for that cemetery and attempt to find the requested graves.

I am happy with just adding my relatives, but should I add a non-relative and that person's kin would like me to transfer the memorial, all you have to do is ask. Email me and I will make the transfer.

I'm sorry about that message I sent you before. It was meant for someone else. It wasn't about Edward Howell. Dale

Hi. I know you have probably already heard about this but I just wanted to make sure. Edward Howell was also my 9th great grandfather. I got an email last week from the Fayetteville, NC history museum letting me know about a ceremony for him at the cemetery in Fayetteville. I'll try to copy and paste part of the email here. Please let any other relatives of his know about this. My name is Dale Davis Aschenbach and I intend on attending this ceremony. Thank you.
This is the email......

I am with the City of Fayetteville and staff at our museum are looking for living descendants of Lewis Barge of Fayetteville NC. The Marquis de Lafayette Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution is planning a grave marking ceremony for Lewis Barge on August 17, 2013. The City maintains Barges Tavern and Mr. Barge was a pivotal citizen in the early history of our City. We would thoroughly welcome any living family who could be a part of the day's events. Please forward this message to anyone who may be interested. You can contact me with the information below or you may contact the City of Fayetteville's Historic Properties Manager and City Historian, Bruce Daws at (910) 433-1457 or bdaws@ci.fay.nc.us .
The ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 graveside at 10:00 a.m. in Cross Creek Cemetery. A reception at Barges Tavern will follow. We know that it is short notice and the distance to travel may be far. If you are able to attend, please let us know so that we can include you in the printed program and greet you on the ceremony day. We would truly welcome any relative and have them participate by unveiling the Sons of the American Revolution marker next to the gravesite. If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to send a brief statement from the family that can be included in the program and read during the ceremony. Please stay in contact.

Dear Mr. Crawford,
I appreciate the information you have posted on your father and sister. I am presently working on my 3rd ed. of the Dunn Family Book; of which, your family is in direct linage from Daniel Dunn.
I have a section in Vol. II that contains as many resting places as I can find in the Dunn descendants. Vol. I contains 420+ pages of genealogical data. I can see you were very close to your immediate family - very admirial of you.
My gg-grandaunt married into the Dunn family.
If you don't mind I would like to use your pictures and obit.
Respectfully,

Jack Brannon
