"I salute that finer, larger world across the generations and maybe someone out on the vista may look back and appreciate an ancestral salutation". H.G. Wells|
I enjoy documenting my ancestors into the digital age. I have lots of old family photos that I am adding as I find each person. (Please be kind and mention my name as the source of these photos and stories, if you use them.) My main family names include: Hoag, Wood, Dwelle, Gifford, Scofield, Tefft, Macklin, Peck, Dodd, Vanderwerker, Davis and on...

The correction of dates has been made. However, if you look at the date the memorials were made, you will find mine is the original memorial in the correct cemetery spelling (COMMINS rather than CUMMINS). This is not a duplicate.

Thanks! I found that I had two sources and that the one that agreed with your dates was also from the Mass Vital Records.
|Virginia Combs||Stephen Lapham and Rachel|
I noticed that the birth and death dates that you have on these memorials is slightly different from what I found on the Internet. Not saying that I always agree with what I find on the Internet! Just wondering if you could share your source with me...much appreciated!
|Virginia Combs||RE: Transfer?|
Thank you! I would really appreciate it!

Rosetta and David were my great-great grandparents! Their daughter Hannah married George Bowen Eddy. George and Hannah had nine children including Charles Roger Eddy who married Rosetta's sister's granddaughter, Rachel Sisson! Rachel had been living in Collins Center, NY and had married a man named William Munger. He died, leaving her a widow with a young son to raise and apparently she was accompanied back to Queensbury to meet her second cousin, Charles Roger Eddy. I guess there were a lot of marriages of conveniences in those days as there was no Social Security and very few people had life insurance. I have a list of other family members who were buried in the Old Quaker Burying ground and am thinking of creating memorials for them...Thanks for taking care of Rosetta! Ginni Combs
|Dave Shaw||RE: Elihu Gifford|
I agree. I've loved his story since I was a kid.
|Dave Shaw||Elihu Gifford|
Sorry for the delay on updating the bio, had some personal things going on and it slipped away from me for a bit. Should be good now.
|Dave Shaw||Deborah Allen Gifford|
I updated Deborah Allen Gifford's bio with the information you provided. Please let me know if you want anything else done.
|Elizabeth Davis||Lucy Allen|
I'm glad you can add details for Lucy. I'm an Allen and try hard to connect them with maiden names and family links, so I'm excited you can add these details. -ed
