Flowers on Memorials

It is not very likely the person who makes the memorial keeps revisiting it for "UPDATES". I feel that people that do this just want to be given "credit" for the information......

Find A Grave has put in place good rules and it would be nice if you would follow them.

If you have in your tree Lewis families from NJ, IL and Ohio, I'd like to know if there is a James Lewis and Martha Stackhouse. They are abrick wall to us. We can not find any records of their marriage, birth or death!

Distant Relative Theresa S LaBoyteaux Lowe FIND A GRAVE #48184829 exchange of INFORMATION
Hello Eleanor

Back in October 2013 you transferred the Martha DeCamp Miles (my GR GR Grandmoher) memorial to me (I hope I sent you a thank you message). At that time you explained our family connection.

You are related to my GR GR Grandmother Martha DeCamp Miles through her brother Joseph M DeCamp >>>>> I am related to the DeCamp family through Martha's brother Josephus M "Cephus" DeCamp 1832-1897 who married my Maternal G Grand Aunt Mary Evaline Bice DeCamp 1836-1919 daughter of My G G Grandfather John Nelson Bice I 1776-1860 >>>>>>>>>>

Let me see if I can decipher this family line. Joseph DeCamp, brother of my GR GR Grandmother Martha DeCamp Miles, was your GR Grandfather by marriage? Have I got that right? I have to confess that trying to keep track of family lines and connections at 74 yrs of age, leaves me dizzy.

I don't remember if I asked you if you or any of the DeCamp/Miles that you know, have old family photos or stories, facts or information. I would be totally grateful for email or other copy's of whatever you have.

I am especially interested in having photos of Myrtle O Miles Moore, my GR Grandmother, Martha DeCamp Miles and Benjamin Miles daughter, of whom I have no photo or information of other than her obituary that was found in my family's old photo box. I also want very badly to have photos of Benjamin Miles and Martha DeCamp Miles, and/or of either of their birth families, or of their children. Perhaps the DeCamp siblings passed photos and/or documents down to grandchildren, nieces, nephews? Any Internet links that you have that might lead me to info or family would be appreciated.

I don't know if you've noticed on Martha DeCamp Mile's Find A Grave memorial, that I've made memorials for some of Martha and Benjamin's children, Joseph DeCamp's nieces and nephews - Albert G Miles # 118837244 (photo of Albert on his memorial page, he looks like my Grandfather William Brump Moore), Etta Miles # 119288806, Jessie May Miles # 117588164, and Myrtle O Miles Moore my GR Grandmother #115890507. I've a memorial planned for Adrian, another Miles sibling, when/if I find her cemetery location.

There is also a memorial for William Brump Moore, Myrtle O's oldest son, my Grandfather # 45223192 (multi photos on his memorial page), as well as a memorial for my Mother, Myrtle Moore LaBoyteaux #117143748 (multi photo's on her memorial page). She was Martha DeCamp Miles GR Grandaughter.

My primary ancestry goal however, has been and is to find whatever I can about Reginald Moore - any photos and/or information or old family stories, that I can find, no matter how seemingly trivial or small. Reginald Moore (may have been spelled with an e, Regineld), was Myrtle O Miles Moore's younger son, Martha DeCamp Miles and Benjamin Miles Grandson. As the story was told us by my Mother late in her life, Reginald - upset by his Mother's death in 1902 when she was in her 30's and Reginald was still just a teen of 17 or so - left home and was never seen from again. My Grandfather William never knew anything more of his only sibling.

If anyone reading this message has any information on the above please contact me.

RE: Frank B. Battles Death
Thank you for the additional information. I deleted the note and created a new memorial for the F B Battles listed in the burial records.

My apologies if this created any confusion.

I would like to request a transfer of a family grave of my cousin Donna Call (1948-1949)
That is her memorial number. If this is a relative of yours as well, then by all means please keep it.
