Bio and Links
Bio Photo My beloved Mom used to say, "When it's Spring, the entire world is born anew!" How true that seems this Spring of 2014 after the harsh, cold weather of Winter 2013-2014.

With this renewal comes a burst of enthusiasm and openness that is seen in nature and the hearts of all peoples who respond to the beauty of the return of flowers, birdsong and sunshine. I hope to carry some of this into my flowering and be more involved in the forums that I was over the winter months.

Special thanks go to all visitors who have tokened my Mom's memorial and those of her birds. The Cardinal (Red Bird) has special meaning to me. In my Mom's journals, which I found after her passing, she attempted to create fairy stories in which a Red Bird would appear at mysterious ways and times to help maidens in distress. They were fragments at best but expressed something of my Mom's underlying quest for unity with God. Her later journals were more focused on Scripture as her spiritual journey matured. I often think the Red Bird was an embodiment of her yearnings and the only vehicle she could think of in the early stages of her quest. Thanks to all who took the time to note that and leave these special tokens at her memorial.

I also want to thank all visitors to my family memorials who have left tokens. Your prayers and remembrances are deeply appreciated. One thing I do request is that visitors be mindful of the comments they leave and the tokens left in memory of the deceased. My relatives are from different religious backgrounds: Orthodox Jewish, Roman Catholic and Episcopal. If you have questions about the type of token to leave, please contact me by EMAIL. This is not usually an issue but if you have any doubts I'm happy to clear them up for you.

I volunteer for the Fallen Graver Forum by leaving tokens at memorials established by the Fallen Gravers. If you ever need to contact me about any token I leave please be assured I will promptly comply with your request for changes or deletions.

Families that I am researching: Flashenberg (Austria, Poland, Hungary); Rosenbaum (Austria); Torregrossa (Spain and Sicily); Messina (Sicily); Stella (Sicily); Gioccimo (Sicily); De Francesco (Sicily); Muro (Italy); Serrapede (Italy); Pappalardo (Italy); Scotti (Italy); and also Mund (Austria).

My ancestors all came to the U.S.A. in the late 19th-early 20th century. For starters, I invite you to visit the Torregrossa and Serrapede memorials I manage to get a glimpse into my immediate family history.

Contact Methods:

I prefer the Public Message Board to be used for very brief communications or greetings. It is not a place for in-depth discussion. That is why I provide an email address for detailed communications.

For correcting memorials I manage: Follow the FindAGrave procedure by using the EDIT tab on the memorial and submit your updates or corrections. Allow me the full 30 days before contacting Admin. The Public Message Board is not to be used for this purpose.

In all matters of kinship: If we are related in anyway, then contact me by email and provide a link at Ancestry or some details about your family line, or perhaps your memorials here at FindAGrave.

Tokens and Comments MUST be respectful and not include any kind of political or ideological slant. Anything of this nature will be reported to the Admins for removal if it is not promptly removed by the person who placed it at any memorial I manage.

Transfer Requests: You must follow the established FindAGrave procedure and request transfer using the Send A Correction feature. Again do not use the Public Message board for this purpose. I do not transfer my relatives unless you are closer in kinship than I am. I will gladly transfer memorials of those not related to meand am willing to do so outside of guidelines provided your request shows a sincere desire to take over Stewardship of the memorial. Please supply enough details to help me make such a decision.

Please visit my Mother's Memorial: Emily Leatrice Serrapede

My Father's Memorial: Frank Jesse Torregrossa

Maternal influence is most important
And I am sure your Muro Great Grandmothers, Letizia Scotti Muro and Rosina Aiello Marasco Muro, are big part of you. It is nice to see someone else's maternal power going back before 1900's. Plus, your grandpa live a long life, and that influence he brought with him over many generations. Thank you for the thoughtful note and for visiting my loved ones as well, especially my mom's sister Aunt Margaret.

RE: Springtime
Thank you so much for remembering my mom. You're so sweet and thoughtful. I left a springtime bouquet for your mom. She was so pretty. Let's hope the warmer weather is going to stick around!

Bless you,

Thanks so much
Dear EmilyAnn,

It is heartwarming to find that you have left a lovely prayer for Phyllis and our family on this special day. Phyllis has left us for one and a half year. We have been counting day by day and time seems passing slowly without Phyllis. The sadness and grief has not faded with the passage of time. Your kind words and prayers do mean a lot to us and add warmth to our hearts. You are just like a sister to me and always around to care for us. I think of you often and wish to hear from you at findagrave or

May the Lord hold you and your loved ones in His Almighty and Loving Hands!

Love and regards from Betty
