My paternal family moved to Washington State in the late 19th century from Ohio, Iowa, and Pennsylvania, while my maternal family came from Iowa and North Dakota (originally from Ireland) and Minnesota (from Germany).|
I enjoy searching in these states for my relatives and their relatives and friends.
In real life I have been a librarian for over 30 years and a politician for 20, currently a port commissioner, and formerly a state legislator, a city councilman, and mayor.
Moak, Good, Mielke, Stender, and Redmond are some of the lines I follow.

Mr. Moak, You sent me a correction of a double marriage to the same woman for poor Edward. I don't suppose we could look at it as him having twin wives? Umm...maybe others wouldn't see the humor in that.
Well, I looked at your correction, but I was not the one who started it....I don't think. You see, his wife has two listings, one with a stone and one with a burial of interest. I will see if I can do anything about the double, as it IS confusing, but I'm not sure how to do that stuff. (Thank goodness the nice Find A Grave folks help us out in situations like this!)
I appreciate your sharp eyes, and something will be done with this in the near future.

Thanks for the suggestion to include the biography of Theodore. I have now got this added to his memorial. Your input is always appreciated.
Thank you for the cemetery name and photos! A great help.

Thank you so much for the great headstone photo of my relatives and finding the cemetery where they are buried. You’ve made my day by finding this new information for me.

Hi Thomas, I just saw your edits for the Moak family memorials in Greenwood Cemetery and accepted them. Please let me know if you'd like me to transfer the memorials to you. I added them so their family members could find them after I took a trip to the cemetery. I will be going back soon to get more pictures, so feel free to submit a photo request for any memorials you'd like pictures for as well. Laura

I appreciate your concern over a possible duplication of this (& others at this cem.) It in fact is the original. Other contributors neglected to do proper research & I presume they listed them in the adjoining cemetery of St. John's Lutheran.
I always research cemetery's before listing memorials.
At some point these other researchers find out their mistake and then change the cemetery on their listed memorials.

Thank you for your reply. Since you are also related like me, have you been able to confirm or dismiss the rumored service of Christopher/Christian D.Swisher in the War Between the States?
