UPDATED July 3, 2015:|
Please excuse typographical errors in messages right now. l am using Google Speak alot, and I must talk in the same halting way as Bette Davis, because. Boy, it breaks my sentences up!
Gannon and I hope that all of you are staying cool in these record breaking temperatures! I always am so grateful to come back on after a hospital stay to find our pages flowered and remembered...big hugs to all who take the time to visit our people. 😍
...I would like to repeat what I was saying for awhile last year when I was in the hospital so much - even if a name is not in the highlights because of time and illness issues, PLEASE GO THROUGH MY MESSAGES. So many wonderful names and stories are sent in, and every single one of these angels deserves a token and a prayer. For instance, just searching with the memorial numbers that member Florida Boy just sent me will take you to military heroes, cancer warriors, baseball players and other fascinating folks...Big Jake notes that member Kentucky Sweetheart has children needing visits. Members Zina, Amy Wolfe and Theresa Hernandez always have children highlighted, and right now Theresa is also highlighting unsolved homicide cases. So look around...
Please check my new cemetery, ATTENTION: Years Between Visits. Children, heroes and other angels are going two and three years (even seven and eight years) between tokens...Can we remedy that? Thank You!
Please visit this gentleman with belated BIRTHDAY Blessings:
Tommy 'Herb' Underwood
An unsolved mystery, involving a Korean War vet:
Sgt. Johnnie Wilson "J.W." Davis
A young husband and father, this gentleman died last week from traffic accident injuries... member M. Richards placed the memorial onsite, and her link leads to some very interesting and touching pages and stories:
Ross Martin Ullom
Please visit this gentleman for his ANGEL DAY on June 29th:
Douglas Monroe Leftridge
This is a heartfelt memorial for a brother, gone far too soon:
This HERO Has also just set out for Home...please wish him a gentle journey:
This gentleman has just set out on his journey Home:
Dantzler Woodrow Watkins, Jr.
My brother Ron has an ANGEL DAY on July 3/4 (he died during the night, and exact time is unknown), and I was asked to keep the link up to his page; THANK YOU for all of your thoughts and prayers for my family members. =) I just put a poem of mine on Ron's page that will tell a bit more about my brother's short time here, if you'd like to read it - it's - as Ron would have said - the cold as Chicago winter wind truth, and he was very brave to live through everything he did. Here is Ron's link:
Ronald Lucien 'Ron' Poynter, Jr.
Please remember that I have some assistance on the site right now, due to my eyes...so if it doesn't quite sound like me in replies, fear not. It is me, I promise, and my friend is just trying to get my rapid fire chatter down as sensibly as possible. ha!
LOVE ONE ANOTHER! =)
Bio: My son Gannon and I live outside Los Angeles, but we are from Chicago/Jersey/New York; we have traveled extensively in our lives and are only off the road for now due to medical issues - but I sure hope to be able to hit the road again, someday. =) I am widowed, and I write for a living; I am very lucky to be able to work at home and therefore be with Gannon 24/7; he is seriously physically and mentally disabled, and most of my friends on here already know how I feel about Gannon...If I leave anything behind that is good, it will be because Gannon made me a better person. It is an honor to be his mother. We are interested in charity work and support Wounded Warriors, Make A Wish, Toys for Tots, The Huntington's Disease Foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation; all programs for poverty and below poverty level families in America; Feed America, Books For Inmates, and more. We also have a soft spot for animal welfare programs, and sincerely believe the quote that "If you want to know a man's true character, study how he treats an animal." Lastly, I hope that my work on here will answer questions, bring reunions and pay tribute to those gone, but not forgotten.
"Pray for the dead, and fight like hell for the living." - MOTHER JONES

Morning Rhonda & Mr Gannon:
I guess it's that time again.I just don't understand why there is so much hate & discontent in this world but there is & not much any of us can do about it my friend.
I've got the little guy here w/me & Mommy will be pick him up later. He's so much fun to have around but sometimes I wanna pull my hair out. He's 3 going on 4 but I call him my 20 year old midget.
Have a great day <(^_^)>

Hi Rhonda & Mr Gannon:
I have no way of getting in touch w/baby ruth but can you please tell them that I really do appreciate all the visits to my memorials & the beautiful tokens they have left for me ? THANK-YOU !!!
I'm still busy packing, packing & packing some more & some days one will find me sitting in the middle of the floor surrounded by bubble wrap & boxes just crying my heart out but it is what it is.
I hear tell that Karma made her rounds lately.
Good as I'm a firm believer in what goes around comes around & for those who seem to think it's "cute" to expose other folks skeletons in their closets w/out knowing the true story...
Shame on them I guess ....

Hi, thank you so much for highlighting my brother's memorial on your page, it means a lot to me. In a few weeks he will be gone since 15 years, I just can't believe it. I miss him more and more everyday.
I am sorry for the loss of your brother, he went too soon too. Blessings to you and yours

This is a young father just killed in an accident; I recognized the Murphreesboro area because of your ties and thought you might want to highlight it.

One of greatest things I have done in my life is to be involved in Find A Grave and leaving beautiful memorials of great people like Tommy and making friends with people like you Rhonda. Thanks for all you do in preserving our past for many generations to come.
