My lines are Frisk, Lindholm, Caudle, Barnett, Barker, Iley, McGahey, Butler and Crow/Crowe to name a few.
My husbands lines are Simmons, Hager, Gunn, Murray, Peterson, Olsdotter, Westfall and Redman, just listing a few.
We live in Missouri, close to where my father's Great Grandparents on both of sides of his family settled after coming from Sweden and North Carolina in 1800's.
While I'm working on family trees on Ancestry, I am also on this site. Amazing information you can find on a family member or edits you can add for them. This is a very wonderful site!
Being a volunteer, with my husbands help, I am now adding photo's of stones of family members who are next to or very near the stone of requested photo that we are able to fill (these are NOT listed as volunteer photo's, NOTE: over 1900). If a person memorial has not been added, I will do so. Family members or family friends may have the memorial apon requested transfers of those loved ones I've added.
(2012) I have slowly been passing Gene's families (Simmons, Gunn, Murray, Hager, Kahle) memorials that I have added or collected, on to a daughter, who's younger, so that they will remain in the family.
Messages, really enjoy them, but will remove from time to time, those of transfers and such.
YOU MAY USE ANY AND ALL PHOTOS THAT I HAVE ADDED OR TAKEN WITHOUT ASKING, AS WELL AS INFO SUCH AS THEIR BIO'S I'VE ADDED, BUT PLEASE BE KIND ENOUGH TO GIVE ME CREDIT, IF POSTING ELSEWHERE, SINCE IT IS COPY RIGHTED TO ME.
RE: Sarah Butler Higdon There is no stone for her but the cemetery records has she is next to him. I did go back to the cemetery and take a photo of the area next to him and put it out there. I paid for copies of burial records from City Hall so I am trying to locate graves no longer marked or possibly buried and uncover them. I am putting a picture of the section marker and location in case someone is searching for the grave. Donna
RE: Clarence Young So happy to do it, especially when people like you add them in a timely manner. So people never do and I send them to Find A Grave to do it for me. It makes the memorials more than just names and dates. Thanks!!!!
RE: Darlene Pitcock Darlene is distant kin. Just trying to link families that are related to me together. She was married three times and kept what appears to be her first and third husband's last names. You do not need to transfer. Thanks for the updates.
Regarding Verba Jane Sparks, there may have been two womens with the same name. I saw the image posted that says Verba Jane was a daughter of John Spencer. An obituary from the Wright County Republican, printed 4 Nov 1954, shows three brothers and three sisters -- all children of William Coffman and Louisa J. Malone (I descend from William's first wife, Susannah Presley). The childrens' names match.
The Wright County Republican, 4 Nov 1954:
VERBA JANE SPARKS, 88, died Saturday. She had 110 survivors--104 of them were descendants. Survivors are 5 daughters, Margaret Sanders, Sally Lloyd, Susy Dear, Elizabeth Leaper and May Dake; 4 sons, Richard, Clarence, W. G. and Jack; 3 sisters, Eva Walls, Becky Garner and Lucy Campbell; 3 brothers, Ples, Joe and Fred Coffman. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
As noted in my problem report, the upright marker is badly tilted. I will take the photo later in June after it has been straightened up by the cemetery grounds crew. In the meantime, you can view Albert Miller's death index entry which gives his parents names. You can also contact the Crow Wing County Historical Society and ask for his obit if he has one. The will scan and send as a pdf.
