My name is Evelyn. I started researching my mothers' Pope Co., AR family after she died in 1990. I have met so many wonderfull people, talking with them over the phone and traveling to AR twice. Many of them remember my Mother "Geri" and it is so good to hear these stories as my mother died when she was 59. My tree has grown over the years and now it is time to become part of Findagrave and list all of her family and relatives in a virtual cemetery. I think I must be related to everyone in Pope Co. I have researched the Teague, Crites, Bradley, Virden, Bewley, Davis', Dixon, Dollar, Duvall, Gipson, Lay, Russell, Thompson names, and many, many more. I am proud of what I have done, only wish my mother was here to help me. She loved her roots with Atkins, Pope Co., AR. I hope she knows how much love and time has come from this. And I hope too that I am able to help others looking for their missing puzzle pieces.
I live in the central valley of Calif. I have been married to my husband for 40 years and we have 2 children. I have a married daughter but no grandchildren yet. Our son is single. My husband is a special person who doesn't mind the time I spend doing this as he knows how much I enjoy it. I love it, I am addicted. I just feel I need to find out all I can and as fast as I can. I know others feel the same way.
