Ruth Brooks
Ruth Brooks is my 5th great grandmother as well, so we are cousins. I was very excited to find your posting here and pleased to find another relative that is interested in our genealogy. As it has been 5 years since your posting there, I am not sure if you are still working actively in your research but I would enjoy exchanging information with you.

RE: Martha Adams
I transferred this memorial to you. I agree that the photo of the monument saying "Countryman Adams" does not belong on this memorial. I checked the grounds themselves and it is not anywhere on the lot.

Please contact Robin who added the photo to get it deleted from this memorial.

I'd like your picture of the cemetery which you took of the North Parish Burying Ground, North, Andover, Essex Co., MA, USA.

Would it be possible for me to use it as the thumbnail photo for my so many greats grandmother's? (I can't keep track of the greats so I usually call my great grandparents this way. I call Elizabeth Ingalls Dane when I speak of her as "Great Grandma Elizabeth.") Sometimes I leave off the great. Your picture has an unusual perspective which tweaks my creative self. I keep wanting to see more of the cemetery.

Back to the topic...
I will give you full credit in the information of section of the photographs on Ancestry.

What I usually do is to add it to the page, and if you don't want me to do it, I will take it down when I see your message to do so.

Elizabeth was married to Rev. Francis Dane. About 31 members of his family were accused, tried, found innocent or guilty. If guilty they were hung. Of course, I am describing the Salem Witch Trials. I'm trying to add all of the 31 to my site. I use Find A Grave to help find their place in my genealogy order of things.

Thanks for reading this.

Hi Barbara,

I am just starting to research the Poole branch of my family tree which starts with Mary Poole as my 7th great grandmother & Jonathan Poole as my 8th great grandfather. With your permission, I will copy the photo you took of his marker and put it in my family tree with credit given to you in the caption.

I have many questions about the Poole branch and will take you up on your willingness to share information. Under separate cover (email from I will send you my initial questions.

Thank you for taking the photo, giving permission to use the photo and for offering to share information about the Poole family.

Hi Barbara I found Minnie's hubby and added your memorial link as the spouse as yours was created first, Minnie had two in the same cemetery.
The creator of the other memorial has already transferred it to someone else so its a bit of a mess. ~Maggie

Barbara ~ What a cool blog you have. Looks like you put a tremendous amount of time into it. Many thanks for all the data found there.

My husband is a Wilder. His cousin did the DNA research to discover that Thomas and Edward Wilder were not brothers. My husband's dna helped in this research. ~ Jo

Hello ~ How kind of you to post a headstone photo for Sarah Farnum Ingalls.

I simply cannot read the marker at all. Do you have any record of what it says on the headstone?

Many thanks ~ Jo C

RE: 108648824 Capt Daniel Hubbard
Barbara, I've just added another photo at the bottom that's a map of the cemetery. The red "X" is a little hard to see but it's at the far right (north) edge of the cemetery. When you go to the cemetery, you'll know you're in the right place because there will be what looks like an almost empty section of the cemetery right across from it (it's the pauper's graves -no stones) and there are many stones lined up very close together. Daniel and his wife are in the front row towards the middle. Hope this helps!
