My maternal great grandmother started my interest in my family history. She told me stories about when she, her parents and grandparents moved from Indiana to Kansas in covered wagons. The wagon train encountered peaceful bands of Indians along the way and her stories continued. She has lead me to my journey of uncovering the lives of my ancestors. After 30+ years of researching I have lots of records, stories, facts and pictures and now I am sharing what I have discovered with family and friends. Some of that sharing is showing up on Find-A-Grave.com. Happy Digging!|
Names that I am researching: Lohr ~ Leisman ~ Pierce ~ Biggs ~ Wortman ~ Wright ~ Campbell ~ Wilmoth ~ Love ~ Stultz ~ Harrison ~ Hudson ~ Rourke ~ Dryz ~ Thomas ~ Davis ~ Hockett ~ Waldrop and many, many more ... <|:0}
I live in Oklahoma and visit cemeteries in the surrounding counties near where I live to take pictures. I also have family in the surrounding states and will take pictures when I visit them. If I take a picture and post one for you, you may use them for your genealogical records.

|Rhonda Brown||Mary Wise buried at Honey Creek Chapel - Trenton, MO|
I did go back to the cemetery and there is no stone for either Austin or Mary. I do have a photograph of the open area where they are buried. John Walters and his wife Frankie are also buried in Lot 59. There is a headstone for them and a small "W" directly south of that stone. The sexton books show Austin at the very south end of Lot 59, with Mary buried north of him. There is enough open space between the Wise and Walter couples to fit one more grave. Austin and Mary had apparently bought enough space to bury 3 people. I will just go ahead and post the area where they are buried showing no headstone so the question won't arise again. Sorry there wasn't a stone but now you know.

FYI - Photos have been added to both. I am in the Phoenix area. If you have any one else in this area that you might want photos for, please let me know and I would be happy to try to fulfil your request.

|Kameisha Asberry||Correction Request|
Karin. Drucell Asberry is my Grandfather. His son is Drucell Asberry Jr, who is my birth father. And my grandfather is the only man by this name in the Okmulgee Cemetery. The back of the cemetery, prior to blacks being allowed burial among the whites. Because, you have his birth date and date of death incorrect, I received an email. This email has advised they'll be removing my grandfathers picture of his headstone if those details are not corrected. Would you kindly update your details in regards to my grandfather.
Thank you kindly,
|Jamey Balester Lopez||About Pierce -Biggs|
I am related to the Wallace, Pierce, Biggs families. I have recently been researching our family line and would like to know if you could direct me further? Leslie Lee Pierce is my grandfather who is the son of Neva Wallace Pierce and Leslie Lee Pierce.
Any other information you have regarding these families would be appreciated. I did not know my grandfather very well and he passed away in 2002. My mother gave me some names from a Wallace family Bible , Priscilla, Samuel Wallace, and William J. Wallace who was in the army of the Cumberland during the civil war.
Thank you for your help.
|Patricia (Burkett) Watkins||Hello|

|Timothy Wortman||A simple Thank You|
My name is Tim Wortman and I am the nephew of Bus Wortman. I just wanted to take a second to say Thank you for all of your work. You have made it possible for me to put together and finally see where my family has come from. It was only a few years ago that I really knew anything at all about my family history. My family never spoke of their history. I am so excited to be able to put together several generations of my family, just from your work.
