After logging in to Find a Grave please use the edit tab in the upper right hand corner to advise me of any links you would like made, corrections or additional information you would like added to a memorial that I manage.
✔ PLEASE NOTE!!!
Find a Grave does not require that I search the entire Find a Grave system globally, only the individual cemeteries in which I am adding to. Please do not move your Burial Unknown into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my duplicate. For further information on this, please refer to how Find a Grave handles duplicate memorials.
MOTTO TO LIVE BY
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

|G47||RE: Henry Oscar Wilson|
I found Henry in two census reports, 1920 and 1930 in Madera county, and both indicate his year of birth as about 1916. However, on closer inspection, he was 4 yrs old on 01 Jan 1920 so he would have been 5 later that year indicating a birth yr of 1915. I didn't find him in the CA birth index, but did see his death recorded in the CA death index to 1939 indicating he was born about 1915 - 24 yrs old. Since the 1930 census was based upon the date of 01 April, Henry could have been born between 02 April - 07 Sept of 1915 which would have made him 24 at the time of his death. So, without other evidence to the contrary, I would estimate that he was born in 1915. Since you manage his memorial page the call is yours. I did ascertain the hometown of all six servicemen who were killed that day from newspaper reports of the event. Henry was born in Madera, CA. The census indicates that his parents were George and Lizzy "May" (Edwards) Wilson who were married on 31 March 1904 in Pima, AZ. George was born in Missouri and May was born in Kansas.

You're welcome. That bothered me too. He is somewhat elusive as I could not find him in some census years at all. I hope you are able to find him, he may not have even died in California though. Chris
