Bio Photo There is a word for men that lose their wives, wives that lose their husbands, children that lose their parents.

There is no word for a mother who loses her child...

If I have created a memorial for a family member of yours, don't hesitate to request a transfer.

Any photo I have posted on Find a Grave is intended to be used.... Please feel free to use them in personal use and documentation.

Searching means finding the other entry, even though it may contain an error and working together means sending an edit.

Links, Corrections, Transfers and/or additional information
If you will please use the "Edit" tab located on each memorial, I will be more than happy to correct, edit or add information to a memorial that is meaningful. I will not add all of the information from the past ten census records that have been released or any distasteful or disturbing messages.

Find a Grave does not require that I search the entire Find a Grave system globally, only the individual cemeteries in which I am adding to. Please do not move your Burial Unknown into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my duplicate. For further information on this, please refer to how Find a Grave handles duplicate memorials.

Lastly and most importantly
There are so many absolutely wonderful people that use Find-A-Grave! I am very appreciative for all of the suggested corrections, additional information and photos that have been provided. Please don't allow the rude, abusive and sometimes rather bizarre behavior of individuals to curb your enthusiasm or your want to help others.

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

- Hunter S. Thompson

I don't know if you can help me or not. I am from Sycamore but have bee in Florida since 1957. The pastor at my church said his grandparents were buried there at Snow Ridge. I was wondering if you could find them and post a picture of there graves. There names are Thomas and Florene E. Moore. Thank you, Emily Lucille (Farmer) Brooks

Abraham Laster
The Lasters were among the first settlers in the Harmony area, is Horsehead Township, Johnson Co., AR. He was an extensive land owner. The old Harmony Cem., and the present Cemetary, the Harmony church, school and Masonic Lodge are all on land once owned by Abraham Laster. He was also a deligate to select the county seat of Johnson Co., when Arkansas was made a state. Credit is given to him for the location and the naming of Clarksville, AR. He was one of the Presiding Elders of Harmony Presbyterian Church when it was organized. There Are TWO Find A Grave Memorials for him: 23268506 and yours 30008122
There are also two Find A Grave Memorials for his wife Nancy D. Puckett 30008211 and 31289673. I hope you will be able to combine these successfully.

Hi Linda!

My information came from an document that was copyrighted in 1967, but I'm not sure if it was ever published. Can you send me your email address and I'll send the pages you need to see? Name of the document: TWO BROTHERS OF HANOVER, a Genealogy of the Descendants, of Jonathan and William Carpenter of Hanover County, VA. Author: James Linwood Carpenter of Ellicott City MD.

I've included the extensive bio out on WikiTree.

"This is a cenotaph, no ashes buried and needs to be marked."

I added a note to the bio. Is that the way you mark a cenotaph?

Sorry, Linda, just another message... I did not open the photo until after I messaged you. I was just so excited to see the message that you had added it. But when I opened it, you really, really moved me... Thank you SOOOOO much for the beautiful flowers!!!! I will send this new, beautiful picture to my family for sure!!! :)

Please let me know how I can compensate you for the costs for doing what you did, that is the least I can do! You can e.g. search me up on Facebook (where you'll easily find me) and send me a private message there, since I don't know of a way to send private messages here...

Again, thank you SO much!

Aase Marit :)

Dear Linda,

Thank you SO much for your help! I really, really appreciate it, and so will my family! They were so happy to hear that I finally had found out where she and uncle Alf was buried and to get a photo at all (since I found a photo somewhere else). Now I can let them know that their grave is on this site too, easy for all to find (this seems to be "the place", sort of)! It really is a wonderful way for people to be able to "visit" the grave of a loved one who died far away from their place of birth... In our case, finally finding the grave was closure to a long, long sad mystery of our aunt/grand aunt that was missing for years... We still do not know where she was in the mean time (from when she vanished from her home and until she died), but now we at least know that she rests in peace, with her husband and I have given my family the photo of the grave. I'm so glad that there now is a picture here, thanks to you! It really, really means a lot! :)

Aase Marit in Norway :)
