Bio and Links
Bio Photo I will be happy to take photos, especially of the brave men and women resting or memorialized at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

My father, Sgt William Edward Crowley, was killed 15 July 1944 when his B-24 collided with another B-24 while on a bombing mission over Yap Island. I was 10 months old. While he is memorialized on the Wall of the Missing in Manila American Cemetery, I arranged a marker be placed in Fort Rosecrans so I can "visit" him near my home in downtown San Diego.

I become fond of the people whose graves I visit and photograph. It's rewarding. There's a serenity about the experience.

My Ancestors I'm researching include:
CROWLEY, FARRELL, WARD (Ireland to Kingston, Ontario, to Chicago);
EDWARDS, BRYAN, ARNOLD, MCCRANIE, NORRIS (Florida, Alabama, NC and Georgia)

Hi Sharon
I praise the folks who are entering info from obits, takes alot of time and much appreciated - at least the ones I have worked with. I will need to go look at the memorial to see what you are talking about. What I set out to do was recensus my fav cemeteries and those connected to them. I researched everyone one I added. SO cross your fingers and I remember where I got the info you are talking of!

Have a wonderful Sunday!!

RE: Rachel Schippers
Sorry but I have not visited there, that is one I created based off of an obit. If you have info on her husband I can see if I can figure out where he is buried. I looked at the obit again and his name wasn't even mentioned.

Sorry about the photos. I have never seen headstones like those with the names and dates printed on the granite, there is no engraving. I almost passed them up but because I could barely read them I stopped and cleaned off the grass and vines that where growing on them and then I realized they where the stones I was looking for. Judy

grave photo
Good morning,
You currently have a request for a photo at Notre dame cemetery in Ottawa. I would be happy to go and get a photo for you but I would appreciate the location. This cemetery is quite large. It has 114,000 graves currently. If you call the cemetery office at
613-746-4175, they will give you the location. Then update the memorial with the plot and section number and I will go this month and get your photo.

RE: Freeborns in Freeborn Cemetery

The couple buried in this private cemetery, William Freeborn & Margaret Farrel(l) are my GGG grandparents. This site is a couple of miles away from the Freeborn Zion Cemetery.

Where I have entered an exact birthdate it is either from gravestones, Ontario records or the 1901 census when birthdates were recorded.

I have been researching the Freeborn/Thompson families for many years and thanks to your interest I now realize I should have entered everything I know about the family relationships allowed by FindAGrave. Will start now.

RE: Use of Photo?
Hi Sharon,Thanks for inquiring about the Harron's grave marker photo. I'm glad someone can use it. Feel free to use any of my photos. No need to ask. Take care, Bill

RE: Cemetery Photo Restriction
ooops, hit wrong button. If you are trying to request a photo, there already is a request in for one. And the Find A Grave system only allows 1 request at a time.
