First of all, do feel free to use any of the photos I have taken and posted for your own purposes. I do this for you! Second, if you are related to the subject of, or involved in research of a memorial, I am happy to transfer management to you.|
I was heartened (and dismayed, but at least I am not alone) by the top contributors' bios, and to a person they insisted on politeness. We are all volunteers, and everyone makes mistakes. Kindness is so important in getting things done here. There is a reason I haunt graveyards, and it isn't because I love being around people ;-)
I am as close to done with bulk uploading the recorded burials from the Hale Index for Milford Cemetery as I am going to get. There are over 5000 burials now listed on F-a-G and the Hale index is probably around 4500. I believe the greater part of the Old Section is already photographed, and those requests that go unanswered are either no longer there, illegible, or broken. Strikingly, there are stones from the late 17th century and very early 1700s that survive, but they are few.

Thanks for trying. HIs military records state he was buried there. He died in Georgia, the records state Altoona, but ancestry didn't recognize that place and other records state death in Atlanta and body recovered and sent to his home state. I might call them myself when I have the records in front of me. :)

Thanks for the map! Hopefully I can get down there and put it to good use, sometime in the next week or so
Thank you for the great photos of the Richards family headstone.

Great to hear from you and to know you're well. Thanks for sharing the map! The photos reveal some duplicates from time to time, check out whether 127748110 duplicates 127693430 when you have a chance. The other thing with the photographs is all the post-1934 memorials being added, there are now over 6,100 memorials. Yikes! Anyway, be well and thanks again. Greenie

Hi Alycat, I hope this finds you well and enjoying the summertime.
Contributor Walter Jakubisyn (#48747655) is taking scores of photos in Milford Cemetery and adding them to the preexisting memorials and asked me today whether there was a map showing the sections of Milford cemetery. If you still have the one you created, could you please consider sharing it with him? I appreciate your considering my request.
Have a great Summer. Greenie

Did you happen to take a picture of the top portion of the broken headstone? That is the part I need for proof of death. What is on the stone now is his wife Sarah's death date with no name and his son James name and date.
If you don't have a picture of the top, do you still live close enough to find it and add another picture?
Thanks so much ! Robin
