|I have been collecting Higley Family History for 18 years. Today I have over 39,000 Plus direct descendants (not including the spouses) of Captain John Higley, Simsbury, Connecticut. This includes 8100 Higley's that was born with the HIGLEY name. With more than 71,500 names in my files. I enjoy finding lost relatives and writing biographies about family. I collect individual and tombstone pictures, always looking for more pictures. Do you have photos to share? Please one photo per relative. I have 8600 photos to share, 4228 are individual pictures of relatives. 4372 photos are tombstone markers. I also have over 4845 pages of information available to share with family that covers 12,676 families, 312,375 text records and 11,100 surnames. So many descendants that I needed to break it down in 26 books. Are you related? If I have any errors in my postings let me know. This is a great web-site. Please send me photos...or post photos of my Higley relatives. Keep the Higley legacy going. Thanks. I have many non related people posted on Find-a-grave and would be happy to transfer these. Feel free to use my photos for family.|

Frank Cyrus Higley is NOT Russell's father. His parents are buried beside him at Holy Cross.

Leroy, Thank you for the transfer of John Thomas and Francis Catherine Evans! I will definitely keep Francis Catherine connected to her Higley family! I'm working on some more connections and am always searching to uncover information or photographs. I appreciate all the work you have donated to Find a Grave, and the Higley's in particular! Thank you so much!

Barbara (Manley) Hernden here!
Great to see you as a volunteer.
I have some info to share on the Dilgarts.
Mom's (Marty) sister Virginia married Donald R. Dilgart. I am also a volunteer on here.

Thanks for transferring the memorial to me.
I wouldn't have minded transferring him to you if you had asked (as my message states) but I will have to admit that I was upset with you because I had sent you 2 messages in May regarding a Higley that was distantly related to my family, and you couldn't even be bothered to respond. I searched and eventually I did find her, you had her listed, but you couldn't let me know when I asked?

If the corrections I send through edits ever become burdensome and you would rather I do them and want to transfer them to me, that's fine. I so appreciate all the fine work you have dome on behlf of our veterans.
I'm not sure why there's a different spelling on the marker.

Leroy, It is not a good picture but that is what was sent to me. I truly appreciate the lady for taking her time to go out and take the picture for me and then email it to me. When I go to visit there again I will take another one and post it. At the time she was nice enough to take the picture it was freezing cold outside so it was not an easy request to honor. I bought the headstone while on vacation and all I've seen of it is the picture. I plan to go in person the next time I fly up that way to see family. Her headstone was the 4th Higley headstone we purchased for my ancestors who were buried without a memorial headstone.
