I enjoy doing genealogy as time permits. I've found numerous graves of my ancestors that someone had posted. I probably will never get to visit their graves, but "you" have provided that privilege to me. When I enter a memorial, I like to think it is someone's kinsman/ancestor they are looking for.|
On my memorials, I try to add the parents' names, if I can find them. It is time-consuming to research for info, but it really helps if there are dozens by the same name with scanty info to go on.
I especially like to find veterans (all wars) to honor them and will add a flag, or floral tribute, especially if they don't have one.
I welcome additional information to a memorial, or a correction. Use the white Edit tab at right top of the memorial. I will transfer a memorial if you are a relative according to Findagrave guidelines.
I hope members here keep their email address updated on their profile page, so corrections, additions, get through to the contributor.
My Family names I research: Vance/Sinclair, Yarbrough/Ellis/Young, Montgomery/Posey, Barnett/ Reynolds; Yandell/Sparks, Lee/Durham, Ward, Powell/Weaver and on it goes.
NOTE: I appreciate the person who posted that we need to look at our 'profile' page (top right) "Edits" to find requests for amendments to memorials we need to make for them. I did not know that, and it may be why some of my edits I've sent to others have not been amended. The person said that Findagrave does not send out a separate email now on the edits. However, I think they do on some of the longer ones. The ones I had pending were just short---dates, links, etc.

Thanks for the links for his parents. I have connected them as asked.

Related? Yes ... but VERY distantly & on a different limb of the Satterwhite tree.
I didn't even know enough about him to get his given name right.

|IHRP & Family||RE: James A. Howe, Riverside Cem,|
You are welcome and Thank you for all the information.
I linked him to his mother just wondering if you are related to them? They are my husbands family. Thank you!
|Ron Lairamore||RE: Vance's in Burt Cem. and other|
You are welcome. Linda passed these memorials to me when her health started to get bad. All she ever wanted was to get the correct information on the memorials and in the care of family members when possible. If you find other family members, let me know. I don't always go by the same rule as Find A Grave. If they are related, they are related.
|Laurie S Tokarsky||The Crary family|
Sorry, I have not gone back to Sugartown Cemetery.
But, I have found online The Cattaraugus county Republican news that dates from 1844-1853, but by the 1850's, not too much BMD's in it.
Found this & wondered if you might know his parents?
Dr Spencer Crary, age 34 years died in Fairfield, Jefferson County, Iowa
(I figure he was born in 1810-1844)
I have added him to the Fairfield cemetery, in Fairfield, Jefferson county, Iowa
Please check the Crary's again in Sugartown Cemetery, as I have added items from the newspaper.
Also Jane, youngest daughter of Dr Augustus Crary died after child birth in 3/23/1848 She was the wife of George Nelson. I have not found George Nelson. I will have to check my photos that i took to see if he was there or not?
Any information that you can find would be very helpful !!
Sincerely, Laurie # 47375347

I saw the note you left on his memorial and I wondered if you had any more information on his children. I haven't found anything on Jewell yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'll sure look for her. May be next week before I get back to McGee. Trying to get the swimming pool cleared up. Dead algae on the surface makes it look like I threw in a box of Tide.
|Jeanne Peele||RE: Frederick Fonville, NC|
I'm glad I had the picture for you. My husband and I just went to the cemetery two days ago. It is the first time I've been there since 1962 when my grandmother was buried. I have several family members buried there. Elder Fredrick Fonville is my great-great grandfather. He deeded the land for the cemetery and a meeting house to three members of his congregation. I have a copy of the original, handwritten deed and a transcription of it. My grandfather, Earl Fonville, bought the wrought fencing that goes around the cemetery. I have a copy of the bill of sale for that, too. As a child, I remember the cemetery as an open field surrounded by the fencing. Now it is overgrown with pine trees. Many of the older stones have deteariated and the inscriptions are hard to read.
What is your connection to the Fonville's? Please let me know if I can help further.
|Deborah Hearn Dugdale||Thank you!|
