Keeping the memory and information about our family members "alive" should be our goal.|
Unless "we" make some major contribution in our lifetime, most of the information about us are known within our own family and after several generations, the information fades and then it is gone!
Thanks to Find A Grave for allowing us to share this information with each other now, and for future generations to use in their genealogy research.
November 2001: Since this is Find-A-Grave and I am still alive, I wanted to leave a message for current and future readers about "my" grave location. I have just purchased space for my mortal remains in an older community mausoleum.
Old Mission Mausoleum construction began in 1918 and completed in 1954 with the addition of the fourth and final unit. The construction resulted in a total expenditure of more than one million dollars. I have researched the history of this structure and its builder of 36 years. The information along with photos can be viewed at this link.
Eternity and Me!
September 2014: I find it hard to write something about myself, but since I am one of those persons who never made a major contribution to the world, I will leave a short review. I have been married to the same wonderful lady for 47 years. We have two great sons' Todd and Brett, and one fabulous grandson, Tyler. My working life was spent with the Wichita Public School system (1965-1996), first as a secondary science teacher and then as a secondary building administrator. My wife and I now spend our time traveling, taking care of our grandson, and just enjoying our leisure time. Good luck in your research with your family history, and again thank you to Find-A-Grave for allowing contributions to this enterprise.
May 2009: I have just received word from the United States Department of the Interior, that my application to have the Old Mission Mausoleum placed on the National Register of Historic Places has been approved!

He was not a son of Alt and Anna Ludeman Janssen. Someone has made a family link from his memorial to theirs. Since you manage this memorial, I'm writing to ask you to unlink him. Alt and Anna Janssen did have a son named Albert Johnson but he is not the same as Albert Earl Johnson, even if they were born in the same year. Thanks.

Hello, I would like to add a photo of her new headstone to this memorial. I talked to David Shramm and he has deleted his headstone photo so I can add mine. Would you please give me permission to add my photo of the new headstone to the memorial?
|Nickie H.||Artie M. Lentz|
I noticed today that you have Artie M. Lentz listed as the father of Peggy Gene Kerr Lentz DeForest. Artie Mae Garber Lentz was my second great aunt who lived from 1879-1979. So I believe that your link to Artie is not Peggy's father, but to my second great aunt. The 1940 census lists Artie F Lentz as her father. I understand the confusion.

Good evening, David!
Thank you for everything you do on FindAGrave! I just noticed however, the photograph you uploaded for the Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens here in Brownsville, Texas is incorrect. That sign does not and has never existed for this cemetery.
