Feel free to copy information or photos found on my memorials, but please respect the work of others by properly identifying each photo and giving appropriate credit to their contributors and/or origins. Besides - it can really come in handy to have a source to refer back to if questions arise regarding authenticity and/or integrity of said information or photos. ~ Thanks :)|
My rant on the bullies out there...
Most of us are just minding our own business trying our best to pay it forward, but sometimes we run into those persnickety contributors suffering from delusions of grandeur who deem themselves the policing agents for this site. They attack without provocation, list no e-mail, and disable their profile messages in an attempt to allow their "demands" to go unchallenged before proceeding to their next unsuspecting victim. Since addressing their petty issues would prove counterproductive...they may want to consider the following:
First...lighten up and chill. We're not impressed by the "number of years" you've been contributing or the "number of memorials" you create but fail to maintain. Anyone can plug-in bare bones information and create a memorial that's of no use to anyone. We're the community's contributors working daily behind the scenes adding thousands of content edits (that aren't counted) which provide context to the sloppy memorials you rush through. Who cares that you recorded "Bob Smith" in a particular cemetery when you fail to provide pertinent details (available to you at the time) that will help "Bob's" family members find him.
Second...perhaps you should strive for quality over quantity when creating memorials and/or adding headstone photos that increase your total "numbers" but are blurry or illegible.
Third...maybe your time and energy would be better spent tending to the log in your own eye instead of the splinter in others. Critique your own memorials and make sure you're in compliance with "the rules" before you demand that others do the same.

I've claimed one of your photo requests and just laughed when I saw your "name". I remembered the TV commercial and the stampeding cereal shapes . . . "the one and only cereal that comes in the shape of animals." I haven't thought about that for YEARS.
Check this out:
Blast from the past!
I'll get your photo this weekend.

|Larry Lagut||RE: Thank you...|
When I talk to them in the main office , the young lady in charge was off for Labor Day so the sec for the cordintor checked for me and found the card for Thomas, the only problem was the grave is not mark yet. Their is two grave in this lot not mark yet and this section is full. So I though I check again Tues and see if what I found was right and post that picture . I take it you got the information for his interment in this cemetery from a relative or his wife. I'll let you known to be sure.

Thank you for the details regarding Mr. Post. I appreciate any information you are willing to share. firstname.lastname@example.org Again, thank you.
|Deric English||Alverus Byron Post II|
I enjoyed reading your shared information regarding Alverus Post. His tragic death shocked our small mining town and some of his life experiences mirror the characteristics of former Boron residents, mid-western natives relocating to California for better working conditions, prosperity and a new start. My grandfather worked with Mr. Post and benefited from Mr. Post's contribution in serving their union. Although his passing was a tragedy, I appreciate your sharing of information and for keeping the memory of Alverus ongoing for future generations. Thank you.

Thanks for the confirmation. I only knew Bob from a couple of gym classes we had together. He was 2 years behind me. His brother John was a year ahead of me. I guess he was using his middle name when you knew him. Their family lived way over in the northern part of the Richmond Annex and I lived, and still do, a block south of Sunset View Cemetery. I grew up with Fogertys of CCR fame. Right now people are trying to locate 1966 & 1967 grads for their 50 year reunions. Thanks again and have a great summer.

You have posted two memorials:
1> John David Archy # 142911415
2> Betty Archy # 141737968
Hopefully, you have some connection to their family and can confirm that their son Robert Kent Archy (8/20/1949 - 05/2015) went to El Cerrito High School, probably graduating 1967.
Thanks for your assistance.

I don't think that is the photo I took; mine was a little closer up, so you can give Barb Kumpula credit for the photo. I think she lives in Glenrock and has taken several photos. Betty

Postkrispykritters, (what a cute name),
First off I love your profile rant. I have my own person that lives in Frederick, Md. who refuses to make any changes to memorials, refuses to transfer them to family members and writes back angry threatening responses. I wrote to Find A Grave and sent them a copy of her email to me. I notice that they have taken over management of many of the memorials she had put on. I am so glad I wrote them!!!
Now on to The Edward Soper story. Isn't that really something. Through Ancestry.com, a very nice person copied all of the newspaper articles on him and mailed them to me. That just goes to show how the good people outnumber the bad. But, anyway, what a wealth of information that I wouldn't have had otherwise. On top of that, I wouldn't have known he was a serial murderer. He would have just been a birth and death date.
Thanks for completing the memorial for the child. That was very thoughtful and I didn't even think of it.
