|My obsession now is the Confederate Soldiers of Randolph County, Georgia, USA. Some are marked with a government marker, those you know were in the war, then there are those that have a family marker, these you don't know unless found in the MSR. (military service records) There are some buried here that have no marker. These I'm working on to get marked. I've lived here all 72 years & I'm having a great time. If you have a veteran, any war, buried here, I need their names, what war, where buried. I'm Flo Merritt Young of Shellman, Ga., Randolph County.|

|Jerry N Bennett||Elusive Grave of Lewis Griffin Roper|
If you ever find anything on the subject I would be forever grateful to know it.
The subject, Lewis Griffin Roper is my GG Grandfather. He died 27 May 1847 from a fractured skull. He was struck by a slave with a hoe. His plantation was north west from Shellman, GA. On land lots 153 and 154.
I don't know if he was buried in a cemetery or on his plantation.
I thought you might be looking around in that area of Randolph County.

I see 2 Benevolence Baptist Church cemeteries listed in Randolph county, both of which you have photographed. I found one on Wards Mill Rd, but I don't find the 2nd. The notes on it say Cuthbert-Trotman Road, but I don't find any such road on any map, can you tell me where that is?

Just wanted to say thanks for the memorials of John Summerford and his wife Nancy Helton in Parrot Cemetery. Not only was it nice to find out where they were buried, but I also didn't know he was CSA. I was wondering if I might have your permission to use the beautiful photos you posted on their memorials in our family tree. I generally keep my tree private, but from time to time I do share with family. I always include credits along with the photo, and also include the memorial number in a separate category so its easier to find for the less experienced members of our family. Thank you so much for your hard work. Our family is very appreciative.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful work you have been doing and for making the connections to other memorials of the Bius family in Randolph Co. These are all my direct ancestors. I greatly appreciate everything that you have done. It helps so much to have connections of family to each other so others will also know the linage. Thank you again.

Never heard of any Becks is Randolph Co. You know the CSA soldiers. Was this a newspaper in 1900. Would Karen Pittman know?
|Brenda Wintersole||About James Joseph Clenney|
My name is Brenda Wintersole. I am the Great GrandDaughter of James Joseph Clenney and Elizabeth Clenney.
I noticed on his page that a Louie Verreault said he was a great GrandSon. Would it be possible for you to get us in touch with each other?
I would like to know who his parents and grand parents were.
Thanks for your help.
