I retired after many years teaching special education. I now spend time researching and photographing cemeteries in northeast Kansas. There are many small pioneer cemeteries near here, some of which are still working cemeteries. I also try to watch over and tend to the physical graves of our local Viet Nam losses.|
I gratefully receive transfers, but I am not a "collector" and rarely request them except for the closest of relatives. If you wish to transfer to me, you may, and I will care for them. If you choose to maintain memorials you have set up, that's fine, too.
I am now reconsidering transferring outside of guidelines as I have transferred a number of memorials that have not been maintained--updates are not done. I usually do corrections/additions within 24 hours, so if you have "tons" of additional information, please send it. Additions and corrections are celebrated! I truly appreciate those who use the new edit system to send them.

Would you mind transferring this memorial to me? This is for my grandfather's brother and I have information to add. He was part of my life. I would appreciate it. See my memorial for his brother Frederick Ernest Ganz at Floral Hills. I have been working on it...thank you!

Thank you. I'm also looking for some other Beckers in that cemetery....brothers to Albert John Becker. Do you know of any? Jill MacRae

Just one more fact....they are buried in the same plot so I'm presuming they are husband and wife. Thanks, Jill MacRae 47010526

I just wrote you a lengthy appeal and lost it for some reason when Find A Grave burped!!!
I believe that your memorial for Dan Becker should actually be Edna Becker, wife of A. J. (Albert John) Becker, who is the only other Becker in this cemetery. Her name is Edna Etherington Becker and she died in El Dorado, Kansas in 1974.
Would you consider changing DAN to EDNA? If you transferred her to me I would add additional info to her memorial. I am distantly related to her husband, A.J. Becker, and I am attempting to get some editing done on him through the new edit system.
Thanks for your consideration of my request.

|Mary||Edith Vena Heigel|
Hi Susan: First of all, thank you so much for the
memorial on Edith Vena Heigel. Trying to prove that her mother was great aunt(Elizabeth Morrow Barnard)
born 1871 Warren County, Kentucky. Wondering if you took the information on her being custodian at an
office building from the obituary or funeral home records?? Have hit a brick wall proving this link and looking for an obituary. Her death records does not give her mother's maiden name. Also found that Edith was married to Frank A. Port and had a daughter Florence Eva Port born June 28, 1924. Thanks again for all the great work. And do hope that I hit it lucky in finding more information on Edith Vena (Barnard) Port/Heigel.
Thanks, M Cummins (firstname.lastname@example.org)

Thank you so very much for creating this record of my great grandfather's grave. I am very appreciative.
Hi Suzanne ... I see you recently entered memorials into Bethel Cemetery in Leavenworth County. My 3gr grandmother is buried there, and I finally was able to visit her grave. I'm from Michigan, and am in DeSoto KS visiting my son right now. Tomorrow is Sunday, and I'm hoping to make it to the Leavenworth Public Library. We leave for Michigan on Monday, so my time is so limited. This family lived in the Leavenworth/Independence area most of their life, and have been very elusive for me. Wondered if, as a local, you would have any knowledge of records that I could access while I'm here.
-While looking for her grave, my camera jumped out and took pictures of several other headstones at the cemetery. I am working on posting those photos. If you took some and your photo is better than mine, feel free to let me know and I'll delete mine. :D
-my email address is email@example.com - would love to hear from you if you have any ideas to help me. :D
|merwin121||Kuluva Family - Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Raytown, MO|
I was friends with a Phyllis Kuluva and lost touch with her after 2001. At the time I knew her, she lived in Kansas City, MO and later moved across the state line into Kansas. I've just seen there are several members of the Kuluva family in this cemetery and wondered if you were related to them. Her grave is not linked to any other.
Just wondering…former friend.
