If you are MORE closely related to any of our relatives that I have memorialized, PLEASE let me know, so I can transfer the memorial to you. These memorials are only in my temporary care until you claim them. I hereby give up any claim to copyright that I may have to anything posted to memorials I have made. You don't need to give me credit if you use it. This information should be in the public domain anyway. If you see something in these memorials that you feel you own a copyright to and are unwilling to share, let me know and if your claim is legitimate, I will remove it. I AM NOT A NUMBERS PERSON (can not abide them), (I have no problem with transfers if you are more closely related), so don't hesitate to ask. If you are related to my Sanders line, Please contact me. Ancestry has closed down our family site, but I would still like to hear from you.

RE: More info please
On your memorial page for Joseph Abner “Bill” Hooper, Jr (35860615); there is a "Sibling" reference for “Joseph Abner Hooper (1929 - 2011)”.

The Find a Grave system is creating a “Calculated relationship” based off of the only “Parent” listed, “Joseph Abner Hooper, Sr (1899-1959): Memorial# 35860615.

1. J. A. Hooper Sr. # 20439609 is my grandfather and the father of my dad J. A. Hooper Jr. # 72753445.

2. J. A. Hooper Sr. # 20439609 is ‘not’ the father of J. A. “Bill” Hooper Jr. # 35860615.

3. Listing # 20439609 as the parent of “Bill” causes “Bill” to show up as a half-brother on my dad's memorial page, # 72753445; and causes my dad to show up as an incorrect Sibling to “Bill”.

4. The quick fix would be to delete # 20439609 as a “Parent” of ‘Bill”.

Hope that helps. Many thanks,

I was wondering if you could send me the documents you have. Alexander Sanders Jr. is my 3 great Uncle. I would love to have these records.

Would you be so kind to repost the family plot photo you have on Ervin Smith's Find A Grave Memorial# 22472206 to Helen Smith's Find A Grave Memorial# 23266480? This shows she is buried with him. Thanks

Thank you for correcting. I thought you would want to know. Always makes me feel sad for someone so young too die too soon.

RE: Hoopers
Thank you for reaching out to me. First of all, I'm very new to geneology, and to 'Find A Grave' as well. I don't know very much about how it works, but I'm happy to be able to find so much good information. And yes, I sponsored Estelle Hooper who is my grandmother. I'd be happy for you to transfer it to me, although I'm not really sure what that means :)

We are indeed related by way of our great grandfather Richard. I am related via Richard->James M (Sr)-->James M (Jr)-->Oscar-->Hilton-->Raymon. I am the firstborn of my generation, and we have only my sons to carry on this branch of the Hooper name.
I am guessing that you are a descendant of Elizabeth Hooper-William Sanders?

Great to hear from you! Please pass along any additional tips or knowledge that you have of my branch of Hoopers!

Richard Hooper
Thank you for the information you've posted about my great-great-great-great grandfather Capt. Richard Hooper. I've become interested in ancestry literally overnight, and was excited to find so much online about my relatives. My grandfather, Hilton Hooper, was also interested in geneology and he has left me with a stack of material that I am trying to sift through. I have some information about what appears to be your ancestor, Richard H Sanders b oct. 13, 1827...again, I am sifting through all of this, trying to make heads or tails out of it.
I see that you have been to the Hooper-May cemetery in Shelbyville, TX. I am only about 2 hours away and would like to go over there. From the pictures, it appears that the gate is locked. Do you know if there is a way to access it?
Thank you so much,
Justin Hooper
