Just a friend!|
Please understand that I have no control over the names, words and dates engraved on stones, written on death certificates or provided in obituaries. I didn't write them. I'm only providing those previously written words to you.
I have been an active contributor on this site for over 15 years, so yes it stands to reason that I have a fair number of memorials that I have entered, added to and lovingly care take even though they may not be a branch of my own family. It's quite possible that if I had not entered the memorial to begin with, you may not have been able to find them.
Individuals using this site need to realize that we are all volunteers and do not need to deal with abusive behavior or rudeness just because we won't make a transfer to someone who has registered two days or two months ago and want every memorial on the site with the surname of Jones. Or a transfer of a memorial of someone who they think just might be a fifth cousin, four times removed of their third ex-husband.
If you are new to this site, PLEASE read the "Frequently Asked Questions" located "HERE". If you take just a moment to familiarize yourself with these guidelines, it will definitely help yours and everyone else's state of mind, blood pressure and headaches. Just a hint, most people will not respond to your liking when bullying tactics are used.
If you will please use the "Edit" tab located on each memorial, I will be more than happy to correct, edit or add information to a memorial that is meaningful. I will not add all of the information from the past ten census records that have been released or any distasteful or disturbing messages.
Please be kind. We all make mistakes from time to time. If I have made a mistake or created a duplicate memorial later than one you have created, please use the "Edit" tab and send me the correction or let me know of the duplication and it will be taken care of quickly.
I will make transfers using the "Guidelines" if they are not a relative of mine. I will transfer your children, siblings, parents, grandparents or great-grandparents. All other requested transfers will be considered if you use the "Edit" feature and state your relationship or intended need for the memorial.
Lastly and most importantly, there are so many absolutely wonderful people that use Find-A-Grave! I am very appreciative for all of the suggested corrections, additional information and photos that have been provided. Please don't allow the rude, abusive and sometimes rather bizarre behavior of individuals to curb your enthusiasm or your want to help others.

Thanks for the kind words. The work you have done is also GREATLY appreciated. You always include the site location in your entries which makes uploading photos a simple one-step process for us. THANK YOU!!!!

There apparently is no grave marker for Augustus Maverick Beck, memorial #45845883. Will you have any objection to me adding his death certificate (#5745) as it's the only reference to his burial locale I've found? Thanks! Marlene

Joan, I want to start by thanking you for documentaion. My husband and his sister were adopted as children and we have been tracking his biological father through various means. I sadly found his grave site information yesterday. Do you know where we could get a photo of the grave or an obituary?

No, Joan but she will be. She's the ripe age of 95 & Mother of a dear friend who wanted me to do his Father's and in the future his Mothers. It's a pre-need memorial. Thanks & Happy Holidays, N

You created this cemetery in Madison County. I am trying to find it but can not see Rt. 612 on Google maps. Any chance that it is Rt. 613?

We went to the cemetery today and captured the incorrect stone. We will go back in the next few days and correct the error. You don't need to put another request in....we will fix it. Thanks.
|Judyvv||RE: Photos Taken|
Actually I didn't take the photos. Another volunteer took them and sent me a CD with all of them. He walked the entire cemetery but doesn't like adding to the memorials. We are trying to get a photo for every memorial. We have a memorial for every one buried there through Oct 31 and are only missing a few photos for the newer grave that don't have markers yet. Unfortunately we have found a lot of people who have memorials there who aren't buried there. Wish people would be more careful about where they "plop" people so these records would be more accurate. I'll pass your thanks along to the guy who did all the leg work!

How very nice of you! Veterans have a special place in my heart. Val

His marker shows ties to your area: ID 94961242.
He's buried just outside D.C. No apparent relatives otherwise. He had 5 daughters and 2 sons. Just passing this along in case you had any data. Fred
