For changes to any memorial I manage, please use the Suggest A Correction "SAC" feature on the memorial under the Edit tab on the top right hand side of each memorial. Messages for changes left here may not be made.

Please do not copy and post personal photographs of my family members to other websites such as without my permission. I do not have a problem with reusing my tombstone photos, but credit would be a good idea as they are my photos. Also note that I did not take all of the photos on my memorials and can't give permission for the ones I didn't take to be reused.

My husband and I started trying to trace our roots back to Europe about 10 years ago. We were fortunate that several of our ancestors had kept some records and created family books which were the start of our adventures. We were surprised to learn that both of our families had branches in this country since the 1700's. Most of the entries I've made have some connection to these families, although remote at times (cousins many times removed). A few are just made from photos taken as we walked a cemetery looking for our family members.

I have him on my list to check at the genealogy society. I am not sure that we are open this Friday. I will let you know what I find out. Thank you.

RE: Millard Fillmore Bruner
I went back to find your memorial for Millard Bruner and it stated the memorial could not be found. Did you delete it? I do believe that there were 2 Millard Bruners in Illinois at about the same time because I found them in the census. There was a Millard Bruner in Macomb, IL and you had put that he was buried in Oakwood Abbey which I believe is the mausoleum. I was only questioning the birth/death dates/locations. The information that you had appeared to be for the other Millard Bruner.

Will verify dates next week when I get out to Union. 12-4 would have been a burial date. It is all too common here in Bakersfield for children not to get a gravestone. In fact, there are many adults without stones also. This has been farming area for a very long time and for many people, the money just wasn't there. If you look at the cemetery page you will note that about 35% of the burials don't have gravestones. Thanks for the email and will let you know the outcome. Do you have any info on the parents or other relatives? Dean

RE: Pollard Updates
Fourth cousins. I just was working on my tree at and thought that something had to have happened in 1957 when the two small children died in the same year. I did a search and found out about the drownings and put it all together. It was such a tragedy. No need to transfer because that is all the information I know. Thanks for making the edits!

You are going to have to help me. When I put in Gordon, 4 come up which are real obituary sites.
I don't know how to fine those numerous Gordons.
