Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always enjoyed all things historical; buildings, entire cities, cemeteries and people - especially my own elders. I was fortunate enough to have one of my own Great Grandmothers survive to my 30's! She was one of the most special people in my life. I often share stories about her with my younger family members who did not know/meet her. She is my inspiration! So that future generations may know who their family was [after I'm gone] or before I start to forget, I'm here :) I have just discovered FAG in my quest for family genealogy. I'm so happy this website and record of those before us exists. I have been able to trace family members through FAG where not other information exists on the web. This is wonderful!
I do currently work a 9-5 job. My primary time available for photo requests is on weekends or some evenings in the summer as daylight allows.
I may add to my profile as I learn my way around and welcome any suggestions from "old-timers". I'm in awe of the number of volunteers and the amount of time put into helping others trace their family!
For many here that do volunteer their time, I may be a kindred soul in that there is "something" about cemeteries that intrigues; especially the Victorian era ones. Some of my favorites are Key West, Bonaventure and Colonial Park Cemetery.
**Some of my family photos are pictures of pictures, they have been in frames so long they are stuck to the glass!
******Bay Pines National Cemetery*****
I am honored to take photos at "Bay Pines". It is located about 4 miles from my house. Until I joined FAG, it had been years since my last visit there. If you've never been, the grounds are very well maintained. It's beautiful, serene and 'park' like. Most of the plots are very well marked. The older ones can be a bit tricky, [the numbers are not always on the stones] but so far I've found those I have claimed. It's nearly 30 acres, so any requests without a plot number or at least a section number or section letter would be difficult to find. I generally park and walk as much as I can, depending on the time of day. Before taking photos I do my best to dust of the markers and tuck in any grass that may be in the way. I generally sit and speak a few words at each marker. I always thank our Veterans for their service and let them know someone is thinking of them.

I have added a photo to your memorial. I added the lot location on your edit tab on your homepage. That way you can just accept it there and it will drop in automatically. Makes it much easier.

John Sweeny grave
Hi Sandy, Received an email from you about John Sweeny (Beach Memorial) I found that to be on his death Certificate and assumed that there were burials there as well. Thank you for your time and effort and the email with your findings. Best wishes,

Kenny
