Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a niece of Lloyd "Pete" Herbert Hughes, who was a Medal of Honor Recipient. Researching his life has been an honor and a privilege. Here are his crew members of the "Ole Kickapoo."

I adopted the Bodan Cemetery in Pollok, Angelina County, Texas, USA because of the many relatives of mine who are buried there. About 40% of those buried there are related to me.

You have my permission to use the grave marker photographs I have uploaded in any genealogy project. They are not one-of-a-kind photographs. You certainly do not, however, have my permission to use my photographs of family members in some money making scheme. Don't laugh, it has already been tried - and stopped.

The transcription of the grave marker on any memorial is important. Please add them. If you have a problem with adding transcriptions of the grave marker, please take it up with Find A Grave. They have a field for it, they, and I, ask that you fill it.

I registered on Find A Grave on 9 Jul 2001 when there were "only" 2.5 million memorials. For some reason, I didn't create my first memorial until 29 Jul 2001.

RE: Paul E. Murray Jr.
I'm sorry, I don't think I was very clear in my previous message. Mr. Murray is not the service member being honored, but we believe him to the nephew of that service member, Fremont Granade. We have been attempting to locate family members and if this Paul Murray is that nephew we'll know we're on the right track. Thank you!

Paul E. Murray Jr.
I was wondering about your connection to Paul E. Murray Jr. buried in Austin TX. We have been desperately seeking info regarding a second cousin of my deceased MIL who is to be honored as part of a crew shot down over Chateaudun, France, March, 1944. The event committee is searching for family members and info about those soldiers. We are wondering if this Paul Murray could be the one we have been searching for. He would be the nephew of Fremont Granade, the son of Dorothy Murray Gleiber and Paul Murray. We would be grateful for any information you could provide.

Sgt Arthur Lee Jordon / Jordan
Thank you for the last name correction for Robert Jordon # 80416334. The last name is clearly JORDAN. I work with several groups on KIA's. We'll pursue changing the last name through DOD, VVMF, Virtual Wall, Coffeltdatabase, etc, so we're all correct and in sync. Thanks again. Allen

RE: Thank you!
I was able to figure out what was on the headstones and I put it under the photos on the memorial pages. If you don't see it let me know.

I am wondering if you are of relation to him as you have clippings of him and his wife. I am his relative looking into more information into his family and wondered if you have any information on other family members of his. More specifically his father, Samuel Edwin Dickey Johnson and mother Margaret Elizabeth. Thanks for any information you can provide.

Yes, everything I ran across while doing those names had "Lula" or just D.E. Pierce on it.

Jan's message below
I see the confusion that she thinks Huskey Grove Cemetery is in Rocky Grove. That's not the case, Huskey Grove Cemetery is the one in Gatlinburg. The one in Rocky Grove just says Huskey Cemetery. Hope that helps clear it up!
