My Family is "My Life". I have been blessed by having Grandmas that kept scrap books and picture albums of our ancestors. Those genes must be in me too for I have continued in their footsteps. I am so glad I saved those old time letters (now called snail mail) from my Great Grandma describing the wagon trains and wild west. It is so much fun and challenging to collect information AND Photos of your family!
Find-a-grave has been a blessing - a great place to store all the wonderful genealogical information for all your extended family when they finally want to discover their roots!

|Sally||RE: Martha E Daily|
Thanks. I looked for her father's grave, but I didn't find it...yet. I hope her family will find her some day and want to add her to their other lines. I am just glad she is not alone any more.

|Sally||Martha E. Daily|
It is her!! I found her in the census with her family as Martha and then as Martha Esther Dunn, the daughter of Thomas Dunn and Mary Dunn. She indeed married Josiah (not Joseph) Daily.
So you have a family line and the correct information to add to her now!!

I am doing my family tree on the Daily side. My great grand uncle was Rev. Josiah Daily, minister for the Methodist Episcopal Church. He married a Ester Dunn in 1881 in Jefferson County, Indiana. We know that she died that same year. She may be this Martha (maybe Ester was her middle name). I also know that Josiah Daily was living there with his daughter from Kentucky. His first wife Nancy E.Wise, also died in childbirth with her second child. He then moved from Trimble County, Kentucky (right across the Ohio River) to Madison, Jefferson, Indiana. After Ester's death he married Amanda Dunn, daughter of William and Catherine McClure Dunn. She also passed away in Marion County, Indiana. Sometime after that he migrated to Springfield, Greene, Missouri, where many of his family were living, including my great grandfather William White Daily. I am wondering if this is his second wife. If you ever get an inkling, let me know.

You're very welcome. Glad I could help. No, I'm not a relative...just the photographer.
BTW, his name is showing up as CORP and not SGT.

|Pat (Markle) Hollman||RE: Malcom Fales|
I have found a stone for Malcom. I will get it listed hopefully tomorrow. His stone was leaning against Rosa Ann's stone, so I'm not sure where exactly it goes. There was another stone with Henry & Rebecca Fales in the area.
I have been given the records from way back and it shows who bought the plots. I will pass that along if you would like.
I just wanted to let you know I am working on this and I hope to get it sent to you shortly.
|Carol & David||RE: Jonas & Margareth Hertzell|
You are very welcome and we are always glad to help other people looking for their friends and family. The death date for Jonas was listed in the caption part of his gravestone photo with the translation and has now been updated in his memorial and is correct. I could not read his wife, Maragreth's death date so I did not know if the date listed on her memorial was correct. I will check next time we go to Plainfield to verify the death date by digging down a little. I did forget to translate what her stone said above ground so I have added that to the caption part of her photo too. I did wonder about the veteran burial record you placed on Jonas's memorial as this cemetery is Plainfield and the old section he is in was originally called St. Peters Union Church Cemetery but never Allentown Cemetery. The county is Northampton and before it was Northampton County, it was Bucks. Just wanted to pass that information along.
|Marie Bonafonte||RE: Hannah Wright Coleman|
This is great news. I have uploaded the headstone photos from my records to yours and have now deleted my memorial record so that there is no duplicate record. In addition, you should have by now received my transfer of Nathaniel to you (I don't like separating family members as you can see). No, there is no family relationship - just interested in assisting families in their ancestral connections along with allied ties. If there is anything I missed, just let me know.
|Barbara (Brittain) Hickman||RE: Florence Chandler|
Thanks, Carole, for the data update for Florence. And thanks for putting her memorial on along with the tombstone photo for her and her husband Orie. Orie is a half-brother to my late father-in-law.
Thanks for all your work for findagrave.com!
