My wife, Sheila, and I started doing genealogy about '97 and in the process, began spending a lot of time in cemeteries. On most vacations, in addition to visiting our daughter and her family who live out of state, we spend a good part of our trips doing genealogy research and trudging through cemeteries. This research has taken us to some really remote cemeteries from South Texas to Kentucky, Kansas, New Mexico and several places in our home state of Arizona. We got involved with and addicted to findagrave in October of '06 and immediately went headlong into it.
Our main goal with findagrave is, first and foremost, accuracy. Genealogy is difficult enough without any more errors being created in the quest for numbers on the contributor's page with findagrave.
One feature with findagrave that we really enjoy is the Photo Request. We really enjoy being able to go find and photograph a headstone or headstones for someone who could possible never get the opportunity to visit the particular cemetery in person and take a photograph of the headstone themselves. We suggest that if possible, fulfill photo requests for people and while there taking the one or two photos they requested, take some of the surrounding headstones if you think there is any possibility of a connection. Then email the additional photos to the person making the photo request.
If you find any errors, would like a photo or interment added or relatives linked or a bio added, please feel free to email us with the information and we will be happy to correct the error, or do whatever else we can to help you with on the memorial. Please do this through the 'suggest a correction or provide additional information' link by clicking on 'Edit' tab at top right of memorial.
Do not post photos of a birth or death certificate, obit or any other type of document on any of my memorials. To have an open certificate photo is disrespectful I feel and it ruins the looks of a memorial. If you find an online certificate and want it posted, let me know and I'll link to it. Do this through the Edit tab explained above and be sure to include the link to the certificate.

Correcting Listing
Thanks for correcting the listing for Karyn Kay Lady. She is the grand-daughter of Joseph and Marie Mason, and the daughter to Dola and step-daughter to William Simpson that are also buried in the Mason plot in the Duncan Cemetery.

Are you related to the Word's, Robertson's and Bryant's that you have memorials for in Riverside. I am tracing this family and all are relation to my ancestors.

Mike - I wondered if you could connect Ella Sexton #8475624 to S Ray Sexton #8475645 as a spouse. Thanks for all this work on findagrave, it is so important.

Thanks for pointing out that my memorial was a duplicate. It has been deleted. The original is much better anyway.
Take care, Pat
