|Being raised in a small town in southeast Kansas family and friends were a very important part of my life. When I was small I loved listening to my parents and grandparents talk of family. I loved meeting older family members and listening to the stories. Even though these people are gone now they are still very much a part of my life, they taught me to nurture and value family, they guided me to become the person I am today. |
My parents and grandparents were faithful in visiting cemeteries and remembering and honoring those that have passed. I guess I inherited that love. Therefore, I dedicate my work on Labette County cemeteries and family histories to my parents and grandparents. Because of them, I've gone from building a small family tree, to getting addicted to family history, to discovering Find A Grave and wanting to contribute to the cause of preserving the memory of our ancestors through these memorials. It is my hope that I can link families together and tell the stories of the pioneers who first came to the area.
NOTE: Any of the pictures that I have entered aren't bound by copyright infringement and can used in your family trees. If you have a question regarding a picture, please feel free to contact me. I will also transfer a memorial to you if they are your family (with the exception of my direct family). Should you find an error or have additional information on any of the people I have posted, e-mail me. I am always glad to make additions and corrections so that the information is as accurate as possible. It may take me a few days to make a correction, so be patient!
But most of all, thank you to all of those who have posted information and photos on Find A Grave. This is a great resource tool for all of us.

Thank you very much Margaret for transferring her to me. My wife will also appreciate it as well. You're a good person. Carry on.
|Arthur Freeman||Seaton Descendant|
Although I am an indirect descendant of the Seaton's, Nancy Jane Seaton was my grand aunt who married William C. Freeman, another cousin, Leon Freeman directly descends from Nancy Jane Seaton, would be his great grandmother.
I have sent you an e-mail directly, hope we will be able to share genealogy.

This is my wife's uncle and we are curious of were the nickname "Rosie" came from. Is there any family history that we don't know about?

Margaret, thank you so much for trying to take the photo of the Walter Hardaway grave! That Elmer and George have markers is good to know! Letha was Walter's wife - did you say her grave is unmarked as well?
These are my first wife's ancestors - I am helping her family out with all of this.
P.S. - I am also a F-A-G volunteer. R.

Thank you for your kind words. Happy to help those that can't get there to do it themselves and it is good exercise as well.
