|Being raised in a small town in southeast Kansas family and friends were a very important part of my life. When I was small I loved listening to my parents and grandparents talk of family. I loved meeting older family members and listening to the stories. Even though these people are gone now they are still very much a part of my life, they taught me to nurture and value family, they guided me to become the person I am today. |
My parents and grandparents were faithful in visiting cemeteries and remembering and honoring those that have passed. I guess I inherited that love. Therefore, I dedicate my work on Labette County cemeteries and family histories to my parents and grandparents. It is my hope that I can link families together and tell the stories of the pioneers who first came to the area.
NOTE: Any of the pictures that I have entered aren't bound by copyright infringement and can be used in your family trees. OUT OF "RESPECT" FOR THOSE OF US WHO SPEND HOURS AND HOURS AND TRAVEL MANY MILES TO TAKE THESE PICTURES, I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF YOU WOULD LET ME KNOW BEFORE YOU YOU POST A PICTURE I HAVE TAKEN ON THE INTERNET. ***ALSO: I would appreciate it if you would list your source when posting my photos to Ancestry.com or other on-line sites. If you have a question regarding a picture, please feel free to contact me.
I will also transfer a memorial to you if they are your family (with the exception of my direct family). Should you find an error or have additional information on any of the people I have posted, e-mail me. I am always glad to make additions and corrections so that the information is as accurate as possible. It may take me a few days to make a correction, so be patient!
But most of all, thank you to all of those who have posted information and photos on Find A Grave. This is a great resource tool for all of us.

But I should mention the possibility that the Robertson family history may have Dora listed incorrectly. So your entry may be correct. Let me know.
|Maureen Solomon||Franklin Cemetery - Elledge|
It is terrific that you were brave enough to visit Franklin Cemetery. When I went out there many years ago to see if my Robertsons had a stone (which they didnít) a guard from the plant went with me to make sure rattlesnakes didnít get me!!!
Anyway, just looking at the Findagrave page for updates, I see that you entered the stone for Michael Elledge. Elledgeís and Robertson's are my line. So I wanted to let you know that Michael's daughter Dora is not Dora Winkleback. He may have had a daughter Dora. But the Dora who married a Winkleback was a member of the John family -- sister of Frank John who married Emma May Robertson, daughter of Cynthelia Elledge Robertson.

It says on his monument that he is the adopted son of D. K. & W. A. Netherton. I have submitted the edits to FindaGrave.com Memorial page #128124555
Hello there, I was hoping you would be willing to transfer the memorial of my Great-Great Grandmother (# 76867620) to me. I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you so much!

The email address you gave above bounced.
I am curious if by any chance you are related to James, or any of his descendants? He is my GGG uncle:
I hope to get his parents' graves documented later this month, then we can link him to them.
Thanks for creating his memorial!

You do impressive work. I did find an error on my great-aunt's page: Lucille Woodward Find A Grave Memorial# 110008478. It says Charles E. Carey was her spouse. Actually, he was her brother. Her spouse is William T. Woodward Find A Grave Memorial# 23998862. Both are buried apart in their birth family cemeteries. Thank you!
Would you please transfer Mary E. Jones (Find A Grave Memorial# 76545602) to me. She is my great grandmother.

I hit enter (again) and lost the whole thing and have to start again.
I want to say thank you for all the work you have done with the Rhodes family on findagrave. It helps in my search when I come across the efforts of another and gives me something to do in the winter. I will do further research, but having all the leads, will make this easier. I am searching for descendants of my 5th gr grandfather, Gottlieb Leffler and John Rhodes (1844-1927) was one of these. If you are interested in his descent from the Lefflers, let me know. I am always happy to share. Thank you again and Happy New Year.

Please let me know if you have a picture of a stone for this individual. It seems to be a duplicate of one made before yours. Need to get this straighten out. Please advise where you received this info.
