Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Sorry for the confusion. She was married at least 3 times. Regarding the last marriage, Agur, she divorced him and had her name changed back to Hankey so all is good as is. Thank you.

I sent a correction using the edit button but wanted to explain that I found a second marriage to Charles R. Agur 5 Mar 1927 Lucas co, ohio. Therefore, her burial name should be Agur based on this info.

I have all the information to add family links to all of the memorials in this cemetery. I can send them as individual requests to you or you could simply transfer each memorial to me. Somehow or other, they are all relatives of mine. Makes no difference to me, but I would like to see them tied together into a family.

I was surprised just now when I "visited" the Find A Grave site for the Samuel Hockman Cemetery in Shenandoah County to see what appears to be a complete new set of memorials for the graves in that cemetery. Links to specific memorials in that cemetery that I had copied years ago no longer exist and all of the current ones seem to have been created in Nov 2013 by you.
I will be adding some photos that I took in that cemetery back in 2011 and submitting requests to you for corrections and additions of links soon for some of the memorials, but would like to know the reason for this apparent "house cleaning"?

I have 2 questions-
death date noted December 21, 1867 on top but in notes noted as Dec 27, 1866
and spouse noted as Susan in link but Susannah in notes
which is correct for both

Sorry!!! One more request. Can you transfer this one, too? This is my third great grandmother. Thank you in advance!!!
Sorry, had to leave another message to ask about the area where you take pictures? I am from Arkansas and I have a lot of family throughout Indiana on both my mother's and father's side of the family. I have no idea where some of these places are at, and maybe if you are close, you might be able to get out--when it gets warmer, of course--and take a few pictures!! Please let me know. You can message me through here, or you can email me at Melanie(dot)lucas1976(at)gmail(dot)com. Thank you for your response in advance!!
