I have been involved in genealogy for about 25 years.. I hope to be involved for 25 more.. I encourage folks to become contributors and managers of memorials on Find-a-grave. If you do, please respond as quickly as you can to request for changes. And should you become disabled, disinterested or unwilling to manage your memorials, please make arrangements to someone else to take of them. For there is nothing so frustrating as waiting weeks and months for a response. You can always notify Find-a-Grave administration and withdraw.

If you make a suggest on someone I have which I do not know, I am going to check for reasonableness. That is, do these parents dates compared to the child's dates logically fit; that is they are not too young or dead in order to have a child. Women over 50 do not have children. And men do not have children at less than 15. If it looks right, I will accept it. For those I know, I will check it out. I try to respond within 24 hours and a week at the most.
Prefixes - Military service is important but I will not put a person's rank in the military unless it is a prefix on their name on their headstone. This occurs generally when someone dies while in active service. If it is information but not a part of the name on the headstone, he/she gets no Prefix rank. Many in my family have served in the military and some in times of war. And most I had no idea what rank they achieved until I looked at the headstone. I will conform Prefixes to the headstone. With one exception:Mr or Mrs or Miss - I will not use that prefix even if it is on the headstone. These are not a part of the legal name or the nickname. And if they are a part of the nickname, then I will include it there. As to Suffix - I hate the suffix Sr. It is not their name. It is a add on the family added to distinguish him from his son. The suffix Jr is usually a part of the name and I have no problems with that. But because so many request it, I will put Sr in.

I am not perfect. I make mistakes, so if you see some in my work, please let me know. And please forgive me if I ask you to do something twice because I failed to give you the proper information the first time. This is what is so great about this website - its a self correcting work in progress which gets better and better with all the people who come and see and add information.

If there is someone you want in my memorials, ask. I am not into amassing numbers. But you must agree to pass on memorials to folks who are more related than you. And of course, I will deny request for folks which I am currently working on or who are closely related to me.

Thanks for listening.

Joseph Gilbert Lynch Sr. Memorial
Martha I was wondering if you would let me take care of this memorial as he was my father. It would mean the world to me.

Are you related to Mary Cunningham Russell? Buried in Delta County, TX. I'm trying to identify her parents.
Her memorial posted by you.
Thanks.

J.R. Fleming
Thanks on the up date on J.R. Fleming. The book published in 1995 for Mount Hope cemetery has about 150 listings with unknown plot locations and Mr. Fleming is one of them. I entered all of those on Find A Grave in hopes that someone would see them and maybe find where they were, well your find is about number 5 and like the others the burial isn't even in Mount Hope.
I have deleted Mr. Fleming from Mount Hope, now help me find the other some 150, ha.
Thanks
Jim

RE: Margaret
I thought that if there was information on her out there, you would be the one to find it. I appreciate you trying.

Willie and Eddie Geasley Sullivan
Hey Cuz, Thanks for the transfers, I was really just searching for Eddie's mother Margaret "Maggie" Rollins Geasley who remarried Walter Franklin Jackson then he died in 1920, looks like she remarried again, but I haven't had any luck finding her.
Thanks,
Bob

Dupl. memorial
Martha I will have to get Find A Grave to remove this duplicate memorial, as I did not create it, it was transferred to me. I don't know how long it will take, but it will be removed. Thank for the info.
