Bio and Links
Bio Photo Genealogy Librarian by profession. It is a goal of mine to have a Findagrave site for each of my relatives. I'm hooked! I've loved cemeteries since I was a child and lead tours each year of our city cemetery. If there is any information you would like to add to any of the memorials I have done, just let me know! I want the memorials to be as complete as possible, so the more information, the better the memorial! Each one I put up is a person who lived, breathed and died. I want to honor their existance. If the memorial is within Findagrave transfer guidelines, I would be happy to transfer. I am currently documenting the burials of Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in LaSalle Parish, LA. All of those Smith and Edwards people are my family!

Sparks-Butler Cemetery
Hi Lora!
My cousin ran accross a couple of headstones. He gave me an address. We have not went and looked but the one he did give me the info on matched someone in Sparks-Butler Cemetery. The address is 293 Hodge Watson Road.
I will tell you more when i can.
That's another one!
Marlon

I am so glad you like it. I know how precious old photos can be. If you would prefer it a little darker, let me know and I will do that for you. Thank you for all the research and memorials you have added. Those are so valuable to those who can not find an ancestor! Keep up your good work.

J. T. Roye
Wow. I just found some other notes and must stand corrected. My grandmother called her husband "Theobalds", pronounced Tibbals. It was her son by the same name who got called Jesse or J.T. He died before I was born.

J. T. Roye
P.S.

By the way, he was called "Jesse" by closest family and "J.T." by everyone else. He never was called "Jess" to my recollections of his wife and daughter speaking about him.

J. T. Roye
Hi Lora,

Thank you so much for doing this work. I came across you when a search for my grandfather came up. He was J.T. Roye, buried in West Monroe, Louisiana. Could you please correct the first name? It was Jesse, not Jess. Easy enough to confuse if the final loop is a squiggle, as so often happened in older handwriting. Theobalds, his middle name, is shown correctly. So many times someone would spell it Tibbals because that's the way it was pronounced. It's an Old English name, which accounts for the strangeness.

Again, you deserve so much praise for your dedication. I would have done this by private email, but had some trouble making the connection.

All the best,
S. R. Dozier
