I am happy for anyone to use any of my photos...
It would be nice to show credit, please...

I try to take good photos to honor the memorials, but sometimes the conditions and direction of the sun do not cooperate well. Sorry if any photos are not clear, try to take the best and clear that I can so you can read the information.

I do have some "not-so-good" photos. If anyone has better ones please post and send me a message. I will be glad to remove mine.

This site is great to document and memorialize our loved ones. The better we photograph, the better the documentation. Thanks to all who contribute to this site.

Susan, No, I am not related to anyone in this family. I go through newly posted memorials and leave tokens for them, especially children. Keep up the good work with fins a grave.

RE: Julia Compton 130078230
The article I have was in the Paris Post-Intellgencer, Paris, TN, probably 1990 or earlier. I saved it simply because it concerned my family, not for research, and did not recored the date it was published. The author did say that the information was supplied by John Thomas of Houston, TX. I also have info passed through the family and a copy of an entry (also by John Thomas) from showing that Julia married my great grandfather and moved to Henry County, TN and may be buried in Price Cemetery. I would be happy to share a copy of the article, but not really sure how to do that through here.

RE: Julia Compton 130078230
Julia (or Julie) Compton was my great-grandmother. I got the date from old family records as well as from an article that appeared in the Paris Post-Intelligencer a number of years ago. My grandfather was Robert H. Compton (1866-1947). He was sheriff in Henry Co. TN from 1907-1914.

Re Charles Everett Kibbons
Thanks for alerting me. Since the other page had the correct info, added my picture to it, and deleted my other page. Thanks for your help.

James Grooms question
Did not find a James Grooms at Hill Crest. Guess you'll have to check with the funeral home. But 2013 he could be there with no stone, though I would have expected a funeral home marker and we took pictures of those as well.

Most of my pictures I got from a family album purchased in an antique store in Henry Co by a lady I met during research. I bought the album from her. The album had been sent to the shop and the stipulation was it could only be sold to a family member (which we both were). The lady that sent it back was in Texas but I have never been able to find out who or where. I know that all my branch moved to Texas, my parents being the last to arrive right after my dad's discharge from WWII.

I know and that would have only come from their burial records. I am going to leave it there for now. I am going thru old containers of material, maybe I will find an old burial list somewhere.

She is there. I thought I had already done it but I guess I missed one.
