I love Genealogy. It has been so rewarding researching my ancestors and finding out all about them. I just found this Web Site and I have been wondering for so long why there wasn't something like this for us researchers before now. It certainly makes it easier to find people. |
Now about me: I am a Native Texan and am involved in many organizations with initials: DAR, B.S.A., A.I.S.A. O.E.S., L.O.S, S.O.O.B,and some without initials: Scottish Rite Ladies Aux.and Optimist International. I love doing most crafts, photography and my passion is genealogy.
I am researching the surnames on my Dad's family of: Cherry, Anderson, Adair, Bass, White, Murphy, Love, Boyd, Brumley, McKay, McKinley, Key, and Sharrock,
And on my mother's side: Brackeen, Littleton, Brown, Gray, Montgomery, Barrett and Hancock.
and on my husband's family: Merk, Dodson, Morrison, Gillock, Gilmore, Nail, Harkins and Folsom.
And family connections of my children: Thomas, Cudd and Johnson.
I am retired now and plan to do more time at the cemeteries looking for gravesites and taking pictures. All of these are my passion and what a joy to find I can now put them all together and to use for myself and any others wanting some help. I encourage everyone to submit their families gravesites to this website. It does help so much when genealogists are researching a name.
Please, DO NOT use e-mails and public messages to request transfers, corrections, links, and/or additions. They DON'T contain the necessary information I need and will be IGNORED and/or DELETED.
If you have additional information, corrections, transfer requests, and/or links, please click the EDIT tab which is at the upper right of each memorial. Select the first bulleted item (SAC) and follow the directions.
Transfer requests should only be for DIRECT relatives within FOUR generations. This would be your spouse, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, great-grandparents, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. When requesting a transfer, please state your relationship to the individual.
Any NON-DIRECT relatives (aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, etc) ARE NOT REQUIRED to be transferred. For these extended family members, you can create a "Virtual Ccemetery" and keep track of them there.
If I created a memorial for your loved one and you would like to have it transferred to you, please let me know. If you are an IMMEDIATE (within 4 four generations) member of that family, I will be happy to transfer it to you, if it is not in one of my family lines. If I make a memorial and transfer it to you, do not delete it and start over with one of your own. If you do, it will be reported to Find A Grave. If you notice duplicates that I have done, please let me know and I will deal with them. If I place a photo on your loved one's MEMORIAL page and you do not want it on there, please feel free to contact me and I will remove it. I never want to intrude or offend, so please let me know, if I do.
PLEASE do not put obits or documents in the Virtual Flower Section on any of my memorials. They should be in the obit section. I will be happy to add any of those. Send those to me by using the edit tab at the right of the memorials.

|Doris Holder||RE: Stolen Memorials ?|
If you will notice please that it will say Bio by Doris Holder.
I am the only one who knows James Minner Ervin was my grate grandfathers name and Lucy Jane Ervin
was his wife.
There is no records any place of James Minner Ervin.
My grandmother gave me all this information.
There was not even a marker on the grave until
some time around 2000 and my mother and her brothers put it on there.
Can you please tell me why you took over the graves of my great grand parents James and Lucy Cardwell Ervin also my grandfather Eary McKinney.
in the Charleston cemetery.
I work for months to put my family in Find a Grave and when I go back someone has took over with out even asking.
If this is the way Find a Grave works I will be deleting all my work.
Thank you,Doris Holder

Is this correct?
"On back side of Lee Roy Cunningham stone"
I have a family member named Lee Troy Cunningham, 1893-1894.
|NL Nuttall||Charles Chilton Stewart #49644716|
I've sent links to his parents, Daniel and Jane Stewart's, graves in the Stewart Graveyard, Hickman Co., KY. The dates on their stone are apparently now illegible, but we can be sure its them because his older sister Susan (Stewart) Walker is also buried there.
|ENF||Iva Wright Good|
I noticed while working on my husband's genealogy that Iva Wright Good (53293409) is linked to her husband correctly (R Hubert Good) but also to her brother-in-law, Houston B "Bussy" Good. Houston's wife is Opal Early Good (53293413). Please make this correction. (My husband's mother is part of the Rattan family.)

To let you know the picture of the headstone has been posted. I'd been there before, saw the stone and thought it had been posted as most military stones are already done. As you can see there is no death date. Sorry it took so long for me to catch this.

Did I transfer this memorial to you?
|Freddie Bowman Wells||William Nancy Bowman|
Noticed two memorials for William Nancy Bowman one created in Feb 21, 2009 #34068595; and then yours created Oct 13, 2009 #43046501 is it the same person. Not related that I know of but wondering about the record. Thanks for all your work.
|kaci cross||George Lee Flanery 31952661|
I checked the Texas Death Records on Ancestry.com
for George Lee and his brother William Jewel and it shows the father to be Joseph Lee Flanery and the mother to be Pearl Kimbrell. I was determined to find out what her last name was. One of their grand-daughters was married to my brother.
|Karen G. Hill||Nancy Angeline Clayton # 30725017|
I'm confused as to her mothers name as Malinda Beauchamp, I have her parents as Agatha G Melton 1808-1860 and John C Clayton 1803-1860, all trees in Ancestry that I see are using same parents as I.
Please Help, Thank you, Karen
