Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been working on my family genealogy for quite awhile and am extremely grateful for those who have contributed headstone photos since my relatives are scattered across the whole United States!

My Taylor family has Scottish roots but lived in Ireland for awhile before coming to Londonderry, New Hampshire in 1722. Some left New Hampshire and went to Nova Scotia with the Archibalds and others, and then some of those Taylor folk came to Franklin County, Ohio, in about 1798. From there, the Taylors spread out to Columbus, OH, Ill, IN, Iowa, Kansas, NE, and beyond.

On my mother's side, I am researching the Brown's originally from Vt. and Conn., who came to the Grand Rapids, MI, area, and the Irwins who originated from New York with future generations in Byron Center, MI, as well as the Van Buskirks, and Beedy's from Ohio,

I would be happy to exchange information with anyone who has connections to these families.

Because one never knows the hour we may go to join these ancestors, please contact my cousin Rhonda, #47237795, if I should fail to respond for a long period of time. She has my permission to manage all of my maternal memorials upon my passing.

RE: Charles H. Brown
Brown, Smith, Jones, Williams - so many to choose from you just want to poke out your eyes with pencils! My dad is from Jones in TN who married cousins. UGH! Nothing like having 2 great grandfathers who are brothers. Then you get the Dutch with space or no space in their names! There are quite a few Buskirks in Van Buren county too, and in Dutch names, the"van" in front just means the preposition "from," and the second part tells where they are from. I know a lot of the Van Buskirks came from New York and they probably shortened the name by dropping the "van."

I've been cruising records all day on the Brown people in Kent Co and sending along the bread crumbs I'm finding in the hope that others will find something they didn't know before or verify what was passed down in the family legend.

Sadly, her death date was left off of the stone...

RE: Victor Taylor
Thank you for getting back to me so fast, even if it wasn't the news I was hoping for. I was so excited to find a Taylor genealogist, with Ohio Taylors. But I will keep looking for the elusive Victor.

Victor Taylor
I'm hunting for a way past a hurdle in my genealogy search. There is a missing great-grandfather, Victor Taylor. He left the family early, and little is known about him. I noticed your biography here while hunting for him, and started to wonder if our family tree's might share a branch.
I've found a snippet about from the Coshocton Times mentioning him.
"The divorce action of Mildred Taylor against Victor Taylor was to be heard in common pleas court Monday afternoon The divorce petition of Mrs. Taylor stated that they were married on April 21. 1928, and have two children,(the scanning here is wrong, it should be Donna Gene,) Donald Gene, 3 and Rose Carol, 2. She charged gross neglect of duty, maintaining that the defendant had deserted her two years ago, and had failed to provide for her or their children. She asks for a decree, the custody of the children and support. C. O. Turner represents Mrs. Taylor."

Thank you for the info on Taylor buried in Myers Cem. Knox Co Ill. There are 3 Taylors with no first names. Would you assume it is Wm C, M.E. and this unnamed one? Are you related and would you like transfers? My relatives are the Corbins buried there. Please let me know if you want the Taylors. Have a great night.

Henry & Cora Terrell
I am researching the Johnson family and notice that Barbara and Ervin, grandchildren, are mentioned in Henry's obituary and were living with them in 1930. My interest is in their father Ervin who we have lost track of in California. Do you have information about him?

RE: Margaret Taylor Miles
Thank you Pat. Also, I added a photo for Maria. Believe it or not, I also added memorials and photos for Jane McCandlish Miles and Benjamin Hubbard Miles. You can connect Benjamin to Arthur as father if you like. Best Regards, Greg.

Captain Matthew Taylor, married to Elizabeth Archibald. Buried in Truro. #44808422. You have his SAR application on his memorial, I wondered is that only the first page because there is no service during the rev. war noted?
Thank you,
